Origins of Life?

So I think I remembered this from a WoB or something, but I wanted to make sure, as well as tie some ideas together. 

So Life on Scadrial came exclusively from the Shard's creation of the world, correct? While on Roshar most life (Greatshells, Chulls, etc) is native to Roshar, with more Earth-like species coming from the Shards. Is this correct? 

To extend this, it seems reasonable that Life on Pre-Shattering Yolen was similar to Life on IRL Earth, and therefore when the shards took there power to various ends of the Cosmere they were inspired by Life from their home planet. Is this correct? 

Now on the flipside, what about all the very alien life we see throughout the Cosmere? Like most life on Roshar and Taldain. (Chasmfiends are at least superficially similar to Sandlings) Even First of the Sun has the "Deep Ones," which a friend suggested to me may be similar to Chasmfiends as well.

So I guess my question is this: Is it possible that the Mega-crustaceans and other alien life of the Cosmere have a common origin like how the Earth-like planets originate from Yolen?

All the Shardholders came from Yolen, if that's what you're trying to get at. With our current knowledge, Yolen is the only 'origin' planet out there (except, as I'm thinking about it, the possible exception of Taldain, as White Sand is one of the earliest stories in the canon so far, after the Liar of Partinel and Dragonsteel. There is very little evidence to suggest that chasmfiends are related to the sand monsters in White Sand, however. (Though I might peruse the Way of Kings again to double check, and then confirm with the White Sand forum whether I'm allowed to post something else that's just occurred to me.)

There's also the problem of a shard creating something based on something that already existed (presumably created by Adonalsoium). There's no need to limit thatto just the humans on Scadrial. So it's really hard to pin down who created what.

Presumably, the worlds other than Scadrial were created or heavily influenced by Adonalsium, so similarities are bound to occur.

They might also be ancestors of worldhoppers, from Yolen or somewhere else. Not necessarily created by Honor and Cultivation.
