Dual-Wielding Shardblades

I gotcha. I was just replying to Alfa. He stated that having two, one long and one short, could help if the foe got under the reach of the long sword, you would still have the short. My thought is if it is living, then it could just change to short, removing the need for  the second. The sword and board combo however I do agree with. Sorry I should have quoted Alfa

@Pathfinder Oh no haha, I was not clear enough (again). I did not think you were responding to me, I was merely offering my double-live spren suggestion again as it had become relevant to the discussion. You are absolutely right about how living spren could constantly reshape in response to the needs of the user. 

Off the top of my head the best strats in the following scenarios are:

1) Fighting a large group of regular soldiers:
Two "standard" large Claymore-esque Shardblades that could be used to scythe through as many people as quickly as possible. 

2) Fighting another Shardbearer
Sword & Shield or, perhaps, Spear & Shield would be the best combo. Being able to straight block another Shardweapon with one hand while still dishing out damage with the other is pretty strong imo.

To defense of dual wielding (in any combination), it seems to be an often event when one parries a shardblade with shatdplate gauntlet, what damages the gauntlet - so if not very unhandy dual wielding might be quite helpfull even as defence tactic.

I assume, that a Shardblade (dead) is about as wieldy as a bastarda when wearing plate; and it's quite the pain to wield a bastarda with one hand, even while wielding a shield in the other one. Two bastardas/sharblades ould be too much in the way of each other.
