I don't think I did one of these when I first started posting, so I might as well get around to it after this new update.

I'm Blightsong, I've been posting on here for a bit over half a year to a year, although I've been lurking for quite a bit longer than that and have been immersed in the cosmere since WoK was released. I spend most of my time playing video games and listen to audio books when I should be studying or messing around at my local gyms practicing my martial arts (I do Krav Maga and Kendo).

I was largely introduced to fantasy by WoK, which I picked up after seeing it in the recommended section for Wise Man's Fear on Amazon. After reading it I was immediately captivated by the world and quickly found and devoured the other Cosmere books. From then on I've spent a lot of time obsessing over WoBs (I've probably memorized most of theoryland at this point) and writing and refining questions to ask Brandon on the rare occasions that I can swing over to a signing or Con.

I'm probably most well known on this for asking a bunch of questions at and transcribing my audio from OddeseyCon  (It was nice to meet other sharders there), recalling a lot of obscure WoB, and being very sceptical of most theories.

It's been nice interacting with you all, and I plan on sticking around for a long time. See you all around!

Where did that joke/meme start? I've always wondered...

Eh... One of the people in the Dark Alley thread said they'd be lured down a Dark Alley if there were cookies. From there, someone made a joke about cookies being disguised as Hemalurgic Spikes, and things snowballed from there.

Yeah.  Just read the first couple pages of the 'People you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley' thread, and you will get the idea.

The welcome cookie started YEARS before the dark alley. It was actually KChan's way of welcoming new members to the site.
