What was Harmony's distraction at the end of the Bands of Mourning? It's kind of odd to have a god not aware what he is distracted by. So far I have two ideas.

First, he is having some inner conflict of Preservation and Ruin, who still slightly control his actions and are trying to separate.

Second, perhaps TLR(or Kelsier) has taken a piece of him when they left from the grave.

What do you guys think? is there something else I'm missing?

If you read Shadow of Self you may remeber the exotic Spike Paalm used.. It's made a metal unknown to Harmony and therefore alien to Scadrial.

Harmony are spending a good amount of his power to Shield Scadrial from something/someone external to it... Therefore it's a foreign assoult not something  native of Scadrial.

This may exclude the Inner Conflict and Rashek&Kelsier can't do something like that and Harmony's current status is something very recent.

Ruin and Preservation have already come together, and we have a WoB about how it affects Sazed, but basically it's not distracting or confusing him. Second, TLR just can't do this, because of something hat happens in Secret History. Is it even possible to take away power from a shard when you're not one?

Well, allomancy draws power from the shard, so there's that. Doesn't have much permanence but it smells of a loophole in the shard-system somewhere out there.

Yes, but it also returns it back to the shard after use, so there's no depletion involved, unlike say Nightblood's shenanigans.  A better example would be hemalurgy, which involves the sublimation of power from a charged spike for as long as said spike is 1) not implanted in a recipient, or 2) not immersed in blood.

So nightblood leaking investiture when it's not in its sheath is basically the same thing as a spike losing power when not touching blood?

Aren't there WoB that if you absorbed enough mist or enough lerasium, you would ascend?

Yes.  17th Shard Q&A, Sept. 2012, question 177

What about a Lerasium savant? Or would that require so much Lerasium that the person attempting it would ascend to become a new Shardholder?

Basically, this is what ascension is.

With the mist, this is exactly how Vin ascended
