Nymix Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Hey guys, Started with Mistborn over the summer, got absolutely hooked by Sanderson's writing style and went looking for more after reading Alloy of Law. Began the Stormlight Archives and finished Words of Radiance on Saturday. I can't decide which I like more, but I can say that the Cosmere has to be one of the most compelling settings I've ever come across. Shadows of Self and Bands of Mourning are set to arrive on Wednesday! I didn't really intend to post but I'm currently sat in the most boring Thermal Physics lecture I've ever had to endure. 1
Voidus Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Hey thermal physics is important, we need it to understand how brass feruchemy might work Welcome to the forums! I also cannot recommend Mistborn: Secret History highly enough, it's absolutely awesome and is probably my favourite Sanderson book to date.Would you care for a welcome cookie? 1
Nymix Posted February 15, 2016 Author Posted February 15, 2016 Thanks! Is Secret History only in eBook before I go ahead and buy it? I'd prefer a paperback/ hardback but can't locate one. Is there actually a section for doing the science behind feruchemy/ allomancy? Sounds like a fun distraction to me. As for the cookie, I remember hearing that I'm not meant to accept... Counter-argument?
Clockwork he/him Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Welcome! Cookies are good! Have another one! They make you strong! 1
Voidus Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 The cookies may have embedded pieces of metal that have previously pierced someones heart and stolen a piece of their soul but hey, free magic. I've only got the ebook so I'm not entirely sure but I don't think there are any hard copies of Secret History yet.Do you mean a section in Secret History or a section in the forum? Because there's the Mistborn or cosmere theories subforums for discussing allomancy/feruchemy mechanics but the book doesn't have a lot of new allomantic information. 1
Nymix Posted February 15, 2016 Author Posted February 15, 2016 I did mean on the forum yeah, sorry about that I'll be sure to have a gander at some point. As for secret history, shame that there isn't a hard copy so far, but it does mean I can be reading it almost immediately... Or should I hold off until I'm finished with SoS and BoM?

I'd recommend waiting til after BoM for full enjoyment. 1
