Greetings, all!

I've come across Brandon Sanderson's work after I finished the Wheel of Time, a little over a year ago. As luck would have it, I randomly picked Mistborn to see what kind of things he writes. Imagine my amusement, being a chemist, when it turned out that the magic system involved metals :) The only thing that initially annoyed me was that atium did not a real metal make, but then it all made sense in the end. I'm wondering if any of ye good folks found yourself in a similar situation, whether it is with Mistborn, some other Cosmere work, or, indeed, any other magic system by other authors?

Now I'm on a second re-read of everythinng Brandon and thoroughly enjoying Wax&Wayne and allied works.

Well, It's good to have a new Sanderfan. As a welcome gift, do you want a cookie?

Disclaimer: here, "cookie" is the code word for a hemalurgic spike. Only accept it if you're 100% that's what you want out of life.

Thank you, fellow ... mm, Sanderphiles?

Now, onto "cookies" - that's always suspicious, especially when they shine bright and have pointy ends. Question is, can I/we pass said "cookie" around to innocent bystanders? Will they be forever grateful? Can I make my own cookies? Will you donate raw material for them?

Root beer! How quaint! Is it my eyes, or I see shiny flakes floating inside?! ...Oh well, cheers! *drinks and waits*

It's just root beer, well, pure, homemade root beer, the best kind from the Root Beer Bar

Be careful CarolaDavar, the DA might be spiking your beverages.

Also, if you accept a cookie, the spike is driven into you.

Hahaha, I see what you did there. "Spiking" the beverages... hemalurgy... get it? =D

I do appreciate it when people catch my puns.
