ChunkyLovins Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 I dont have a book in front of me so i might not be 100% accurate with some statements, but while i was reading, i noticed that when the translator arm band was being explained it was stated something to the extent that it changes your soul to your location. It was also mentioned that they have markings/designs on them. Could these be stamps? as they have to be pressed against your skin and dont work over clothing. Granted a "change of soul" wasnt mentioned when using the weight and heat bands and i assume there would be some issue with swapping between them quickly. Just a thought and was curious what other people thought.
king of nowhere Posted February 6, 2016 Posted February 6, 2016 stamping would not work on scadrial. the reason it must be in contact with the skin is that a metalmind cannot be acccessed without contact wiith the body.
Landis963 he/him Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 As others have stated, it's a duramind, which stores Connection. Stamps don't work in Elantris, and that's on the same planet as their country of origin, why would they work on Scadrial?
