sp8no1 Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 I've literally just read this part of the book and I might be be missing something but when everyone is called to the main square for the executions and they see the inquisitors, obligators and the lord ruler out in the open, why doesn't kelsier try to get into that room where the inquisitors stopped him last time? Surely it would have been pretty much completely open to him, with the inquisitors being in the square? 1

king of nowhere Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 i never tought about it before, so it is not a big stretch that kelsier also never tought about it. Even if he had, what were the chances that maybe one or two inquisitors were left behind? Maybe it was a trap, maybe tlr wanted kelsier to think that kredik shaw would be left unguarded. kelsier tried twice and twice he got burned, it is understandable that he didn't want to gamble again.

name_here Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Even with the distraction, broad daylight isn't a good time to try it. The room probably wouldn't be completely unguarded, and the Inquisitors weren't all that far away.
