I'm still not sure what you mean by the clue disappearing, though. The Mists weren't snapping 1% of the people into each allomantic ability, because Atium was included, which would make the total 17%, not 16%. I think they were just Snapping a bunch of Mistings, especially the ones who would be helpful in battle (i.e. no aluminum or duralumin gnats).
Eagle of the Forest Path he/him Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Actually, Preservation changed the allomantic table when he imprisoned Ruin to include Atium and Malatium. That can be taken multiple ways, but the way I read it is that during the Final Empire, cadmium and bendalloy weren't allomantic metals, and they only reappeared after the Final Ascension (when Sazed changed back the table). So the people that would have been Sliders and Pulsers became Atium and Malatium mistings instead. I also really doubt that Preservation had any control over who snapped into what sort of misting. 1

The Mist were snapping the 16% of population. 1% for any metals. But Preservation alterated the Allomancy switching Atium&Malatium in the place of Cadmus&Bendalloy. This is the only reason of be for someone like Atium Misting. Without any artificial help it impossible to someone became an Atium Misting, but Preservation need them to his Great Plan (to burn Ruin's Power) and He made them possible. After his ascension Sazed fix the Allomancy and now the Temporal Metal are the right ones. Edited December 21, 2015 by Yata
