Oversleep Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 (edited) I need some clarification: when we use term "double metal" we refer to somebody with metal augmented by Hemalurgy (as in "Vin has double bronze") or to Compounder of that metal ("Miles has double gold")?If it's the first one (augmented metal), how we would refer to Feruchemist with Hemalurgy-augmented metal? How is it in the books? (Mine are translated, so something may have been lost in translation) Edited December 13, 2015 by Oversleep 1
Voidus Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 I've heard it used for both but I think most people use it for the former, people usually just refer to Miles as a gold Compounder.I'm not sure they either has been used canonically though.
Oversleep Posted December 13, 2015 Author Posted December 13, 2015 (edited) When Marasi is told about about Miles in Alloy Of Law, isn't the term used? Edited December 13, 2015 by Oversleep
Kaymyth she/her Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 It is; he's specifically called double-gold. Of course, in-world most people don't even know Hemalurgy exists, let alone its ability to enhance Metalborn powers one already has. Colloquially, it would almost exclusively be used in the Twinborn definition. 1
Plaeggs he/him Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 For in-world, both can be used, though as Kaymyth said, no one knows that Hemalurgy exists. For forum use, there is no set standard, but as we get further into Mistborn, and as Hemalurgy starts to emerge, a naming standard will evolve, whatever is most convenient for people to use.
