Voidus Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Then look in horror at these... creations of nature. http://www.cracked.c...s-in-world.html http://www.cracked.c...ical-predators/ http://www.cracked.c...ldnt-exist.html In the case of a potential match up, I'll let you decide. I frequent Cracked quite a bit so I've seen the first one but I think the second's new so that could be interesting, if hypothetically I had some kind of flesh-warping Epic who's prone to adapting the traits of horrifying creatures he knows of. Backtrack vs. Metronome?
Edgedancer he/him Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Cruelest idea ever: Put Backtrack in a garden stocked with the plants listed in those articles. That really is cruel... Backtrack vs. Metronome? I shudder at the thought of all the things Bioterror could do in theory. Clearly Metronome would win, as backtrack would give up the moment Metronome introduces himself in all his might. 2

Voidus Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Nah, Backtrack would help him up, bowing and simpering every second. And then, after having been forced to watch this 'duel', an irritated Sam and Revolution knock them both out, claiming victory for the Vanillas.
Edgedancer he/him Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 But then a stray breeze knocks Metronome over and it's called a draw That happening seems about as likely as it not happening, so sure lets go with that ruling. Now think of an interesting match up for Cornucopia. 1

Now think of an interesting match up for Cornucopia. Cornucopia? That'd depend greatly on the environment, if she's in Corvallis or her Arboretum she's a lot stronger than just in some random meadow. But let's go with Lightwards vs. Cornucopia. 1

Zomby dinosaurs vs gattling trees, yikes that could be fun.
Kobold King he/him Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Lightwards can reanimate plants, so that might come into play.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 Lightwards can reanimate plants, so that might come into play. Because why have zombie dinosaurs vs. gatling plants when you can have zombie dinosaur gatling plants?
Edgedancer he/him Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Because why have zombie dinosaurs vs. gatling plants when you can have zombie dinosaur gatling plants? Undead grenade cactus. 4

Voidus Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Lightwards can reanimate plants, so that might come into play. Not sure that that would do much other than hurt him She doesn't create sentient plants she just creates normal ones that she can manipulate so if he zombified them she'd still be able to control them.
Edgedancer he/him Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 And the rest of nature's beauty responds with: Please the things from those cracked articles only laugh at the grenade cactuses alive or undead alike.
Comatose he/him Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 RE: Corvallis folks. So, Insight's memory viewing power gives us an opportunity to view the past of other epics. I'm leaving him and Euphoria purposely quiet for this story day (I'll likely do a Euphy post near the end of the day to let everyone know what they've been up to), but after that, I was thinking Insight could strike again, and potentially abduct another Corvallis epic and start digging into their past. So, the question is, who do we want to know more about / who do we think it would be fun to get flashbacks from? I think it would be good to save the Queens for later, but is their another Corvallis epic who it would be fun to see Flashbacks from? If so, do we have a reason for Insight to want to dig into their past. Capturing epics with his powers and then finding their weaknesses is one of Insight's modes of recruiting helpers, so he could target someone whose not that important, but has a useful ability just for the sake of having some help. Anyways, this a future thing, like I said it won't be happening this game day. If no one is interested, I have some ideas for who his next targets can be. I just thought I'd open things out, and check if anyone would be interested in writing some flashback scenes. Even if you want your epic to have flashbacks somewhere down the road from now, let me know and we can slot them in . 1

Depending on for what exactly Insight would dig for, I'm not sure how essential flashbacks would be compared to other characters but I certainly could and wouldn't be against it. I mean there is a backstory I can draw from.
mail-mi he/him Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Undead grenade cactus. Accidental downvote.
Kobold King he/him Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 If y'all are wondering, I'm still planning on being part of this. However, there are a few vital points that I need answered before I go on with the development of Clarence Grey, operative of the Dalles : I'd like him to have come to Portland in pursuit of Backtack, who could spill the beans about the Dalles status as a human-led city. That would give more specific purpose to Clarence's story, and allow me to give a legitimate reason for him visiting the Empire of Light, my favorite of the Portland factions. So, is the pursuit of Backtrack idea possible? Secondly, I was wondering if Vondra would have obtained the information on Backtrack from Reader, so that it would make sense for me to incorporate Grey knowing that intel into his first post. Finally, will Kobold write a short thing that Vondra would say to give Clarence Grey his directives? I think that idea is possible. Remember though that it will take every ounce of Clarence's wits and resolve to not wind up killed and zombified for information the second he meets Lightwards. What precisely were you thinking his instructions would be concerning Backtrack? Spy on him? Kill him? Monitor the general situation in Portland? And yes, I'd be happy to write for a Vondra/Clarence scene.
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted November 29, 2015 Author Posted November 29, 2015 Well, one method would be to get on Funtimes' good side.

That could be interesting.... I'd definitely be fine with Atrophy getting kidnapped and interrogated like that. Also, is anyone planning on responsing to the latest ghoul attack in Corvallis? 18th Shard, the place being attacked is where Phoenix is hiding, so he should probably react or something Edited November 29, 2015 by Blackhoof
Mashadar Mistborn he/him Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I set up for ghouls rather nearby with the last Gelliton post, if you want to work with that.
Blackhoof Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Ghouls can attack her too, they'd burst in and immediately attack whatever they see.
Comatose he/him Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 I'll wear that as a badge of honor. Depending on for what exactly Insight would dig for, I'm not sure how essential flashbacks would be compared to other characters but I certainly could and wouldn't be against it. I mean there is a backstory I can draw from. We could work that out together, beforehand. For motivation, as a new epic to Corvallis, Insight might be interested in recruiting her a double agent of sorts, and could use his powers to background check her. Then, you could write the flashbacks, and I'll write Insight's reactions to them. If we go forward, when would like this to occur? We can designate the current day as day 2, and talk about future days relative to that. I'd rather keep Iconoclast independent of Insight, personally But Atrophy? That could be interesting.... I'd definitely be fine with Atrophy getting kidnapped and interrogated like that. Also, is anyone planning on responsing to the latest ghoul attack in Corvallis? 18th Shard, the place being attacked is where Phoenix is hiding, so he should probably react or something Atrophy would be a fun target as well. I'll have to observe a little more to come up with a motivation though. Any ideas for why Insight would want to look into Atrophy, and when in the RP you would like this to happen?
