I was always solidly Team Tyler's Van. Oh, I condemn Twilight….it's just that both love triangles are so terrible I can't choose. They don't have to make anything up, just write about an actual fight. Who knows, if he really is Jim Butcher then he may even write the chapter himself. Team what now? Think about it like this. One triangle has an immortal serial murderer, an absolutely selfish girl with a bad taste in men and lust for power that mostly just sits around and a hormon controled animal. In Portland the constalation is pretty much the same, just that all of them are more interesting, Nighthound is at least honest about it (and argruably a better boyfriend, once you move past the pet phase of the relationship but that is neither here nor there), Neverthere actually has agency and a brain and Numnums doesn't sometimes turn into an shirtless teenager. Clearly on of these sets of characters is superior. 1

In the first book, Tyler Whatshisface (don't remember if he ever had a last name and I don't care) nearly ran Bella over when he lost control of his van. So I and others are Team Tyler's Van, because the van nearly killed Bella and ended the series before it began. Superior characters, yes. They're more interesting to read about and elicit actual emotional responses in readers….but I'm going to go with the Twilight love triangle, because those characters are so busy STARING at each other that they would never pose any real danger to me. Nighthound and Neverthere, on the other hand, pose ALL OF THE DANGER. 2

For Salem Soulcaster's actually pretty good as far as Epic overlords go, he doesn't take challenges to his authority well but he also isn't fond of needless slaughter so Salem's probably got one of the lowest levels of murder sprees in the state outside of the Dalles. Meliability isn't exactly evil either she just doesn't really understand the whole concept of morals and the sanctity of human life so she's perfectly happy murdering people but not for no reason. In the Wastelands I think Necropathy is the only Epic I've got so far who'd be a candidate, the rest of Adelaide Epics are pretty standard.

I don't actually have much in the way of story for her, I left it intentionally vague so we can hold out hope that she's secretly a redeemed Epic who's just taking care of young vulnerable girls. But unfortunately it's more likely something that would get her a spot on ATTD. He's not really her type thankfully but she'd probably pretend to respond to him for manipulative purposes.
