Shardbearer he/him Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 So I have a theory about Wax's original earring. We know that it comes from a melted down Inquisitor spike. Or does it? What if all those spikes were melted down, mixed together, and then reforged into Pathian earrings? Could the earrings hold multiple charges of different attributes? Honestly, I don't know how metallurgy works. Is it even possible to get a good alloy out of all those different metals from the spikes? 1
Khyrindor he/him Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 The earring likely lost most of any charge it had because of hemalurgical decay, but it has been theorized that Wax gets a tiny amount of Allomantic pewter that helps him ignore his pain at the end of AoL.
Kurkistan he/him Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Given that alloying metalminds metalminds loses their power, then I'd guess the same happens with spikes.
natc Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 If you alloy them it's gone. If it's like, half and half with one distinct "Metal 1" bit separate from the "Metal 2" bit I can imagine the charge still existing. Still the wrong bind point though.
Shardbearer he/him Posted October 27, 2015 Author Posted October 27, 2015 Interesting, I didn't know that about alloying metalminds. And yeah, good point about the bind points.
