jcoop513 he/him Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 (edited) It looks like Steelheart was voted the favorite Audiobook of the Year, with A Memory of Light coming in second overall, and best in Fantasy on Audible. The editors apparently disagree, but the popular votes gave Brandon the win from the listeners. See the link to the list here and here. Congrats Brandon! Edit: Looks like The Rithmatist was voted 2nd in the Teens category. Edited December 8, 2013 by jcoop513 1
bartbug he/him Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Wait... wut? I had no idea that he was that popular. Yeah, I voted, but it was mostly for moral support. Funny thing is, I only picked Steelheart over Rithmitist because I wanted him to win, even though in my opinion, Rithmitist or Memory of Light are by far the better books.
Aether he/him Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 Not sure Steelheart deserved being voted #1. I don't know how good the audio book is, but the book itself is just OK by Brandon Sanderson standards.
Iredomi Posted December 8, 2013 Posted December 8, 2013 I am someone who has only gotten a few chapters in to steelheart and I can't say I am enjoying it too much does it get any better?
Aether he/him Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 I thought the first few chapters were the strong ones. I liked the prologue and how it got tied into the actual story.
ZoneZero Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 (edited) Hmm, sad that audible.de doesn't have a voting - would have been curious about the standings there. (Brandon's german audio books have a lot of positive votes there as well, when compared to other audiobooks) Edited December 9, 2013 by ZoneZero
