Moogle Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Actualy, he just said it wouldn't work :/ . He didn't even say if burning it would be possible. This one? Warbreaker spoilers: Q: Could wax, vin, or TLR burn nightblood? A: (paraphrased) Firstly, you're assuming Nightblood is not allomantically inert (he didnt say if it was or not), but if it was, it would be like trying to burn someone else's metalmind. (source) This doesn't mean it's not possible - there's a ton of possibilities. For example, just have the Mistborn Awaken their own piece of metal, or try to Awaken a piece of metal without making it into a "robot spren" like Nightblood so that it has an identity that will not interfere with you. Stormlight spoilers: For example, an Honorblade is unlikely to run into the same identity issue, since the Honorblades are not sentient. (Or are they?) Then the previous WoB I posted would imply any Mistborn who gained a link to Honor's Investiture (perhaps by bonding the same Honorblade) could burn it. Or in the case of Shardblades, have the person the Shardblade is bound to try to burn them. The close connection might be enough to let them burn it and bypass the identity issue. Or if that doesn't work, abuse Feruchemical aluminum.

Which doesnt sound very autonomous. I'm going to reread both books to see if there's evidence of Miles being spiked or of Paalm talking about Trell. It may be that Miles and Paalm's actions are unrelated and would allay my doubts a little bit. do the gold spikes/metalminds in his arms count? Also, if those were Hemalurgic, then Miles had access to all three of the Metallic arts in the form of gold. Edited September 16, 2017 by ethan_sedai

I don't believe they were Hemalurgic goldspikes as Harmony didn't say nothing in the topic and Miles didn't expose anything weird neither in his actions or thoughts Edited September 17, 2017 by Yata 1
