So "the element" is related to Adonalsium, though rather indirectly (assuming we are correct). I personally agree that he is referring to the Lerasium, but I figured someone should point out the connection to Adonalsium, weak though it is.

We already have a WoB confirming that the Element is a Lerasium bead Also, I asked Brandon a question about Hoid collecting important items. Because he has the Lerasium bead and the element. I asked if Hoid has any other items we should know about. Brandon responded that the Lerasium bead and the element are the same thing. And that Hoid has many items he should not have. 1
Isomere Posted January 6, 2014 Posted January 6, 2014 Brandon also says that Hoid is using the Lerasium in a very different way than we would assume. Theories I've heard include Hemalurgy spike, metalmind, complete sDNA rewrite (allowing him to use all magic systems), chunk of Adonalsium and various combinations of these. If the Lerasium is now part of a new alloy, it would still satisfy the paraphrased WOB above, so we can't yet rule out a melding of Lerasium and its correlate from each shard.
