Trickonometry Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I am a west coaster who is dearly hoping to get his digital copy released at 9pm. :-D
king of nowhere Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I suppose, but unless there's a release vent in your area, you won't find a bookstore opened in the evening to get your copy and you'll have to wait tomorrow anyway. Myself, I have preordered the ebook with kobo, and I wonder if I'll get it at the release time (8 am in my timezone) or later.
Guest Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I "preordered" the e-book, which is something I've never done before, so I'm wondering exactly when I'll be able to download it.
firstRainbowRose she/her Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Typically ebooks are pushed based on midnight of the main server, which is located at the company HQs. (From my experience most of those are in California.) 1
Guest Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Dang... I'll stay up till 12:01, just to start the download before bed so I can read it first thing in the morning, but I'm not staying up till 3am
vineyarddawg Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Well... 12:05 eastern time and nothing has appeared yet on my Kindle. Guess I'll just go to bed and get into the book in the morning.
Guest Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Grrrr. The book is showing as available, and I can click "read", but then I get a "book cannot be displayed" error.
Guest Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 According to my notifications, it came available at 00:56 (EST) on Google Play
vineyarddawg Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 So, I was asleep by this point, but I got my confirmation e-mail from Amazon at 1:20 AM (eastern), so I assume that's when it became available on my Kindle.
