(Plural of course, but one to start.) In the Acknowledgements of WoK Brandon Sanderson says referring to his writing group/Alpha/Beta readers. You are all wonderful people, and I'd give you Shardblades if I could. What does this mean in context with Syl's disgust for the blades? 1
Argent he/him Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Brandon hates his pre-release readers? Really, he probably ignores the deeper implication that come with owning a Shardblade and just goes with "Here is something cool, guys!"
Mysty she/her Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Brandon just likes giving people swords. What epic fantasy fan wouldn't? after all, he gave all of his groomsmen swords at his wedding. I've seen pictures anyone else want to cut the cake with a sword?
Argent he/him Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 Speaking of which, a sword (replica of Andruril) is what I gave as a wedding gift to one of my best friends' wedding last year. And he did cut the cake with it. His daughter is getting the Sting next time I visit them overseas 1
