JoshuaP.Smith:Aelathia Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Hey all! I've been hooked on Brandon Sanderson's work since the opening of Mistborn. I'm deeply excited that he finished the Wheel of Time--I had become discouraged after learning that Robert Jordan had passed away without finishing the series that I stopped reading after the third book, but now am eagerly anticipating reading through to the completion of the series!! However, The Way of Kings is burning a whole on my shelf, and I'm going to have to pause after Lord of Chaos to finally extinguish that fire. One of the reasons I love reading Brandon's work is because he challenges me in my own writing. For years I've been working on an epic fantasy series, and his work continually inspires me to take another glance at my characters, at the world I've constructed, at the originality of it all. The Mistborn series (and Alloy of Law--go Wax and Wayne!) were by far the most original, most excellent books I'd read in a while. I'm grateful I stumbled upon Brandon via Wheel of Time. I've periodically glanced at these forums, laughed a bit, walked away feeling satisfied and informed, so figured it was about time to join the community and explore in a little more depth. Feel free to learn more about me on my blog at aelathianovels.com or on https://twitter.com/AelathiaNovels. Glad to be here! Joshua
