I believe he's referring to the song Survival by the band Muse, and suggesting it would be a good song for Kelsier. I know Muse, but not he song, so I'm not able to comment.

Correct Senor Feesh the song title is Survival, by the band Muse.

The question, to be more clear is do you agree that this song would be a good Kelsier's ode?  Do you think it captures his passion, though process, resolve, etc.  I just finished reading Chapter 34, Part 4 of The Final Empire, then listened to this song right afterwards and felt in encompassed Kelseir's character.

The song sure suits the setting.

Also 'supremacy' by muse seems like a perfect song for the first book. It just fits perfectly.

Ok, finally listened to Survival.

Lyrically, I agree. Musically... it's lacking something. Urgency maybe? It's just too down-tempo for me to reflect that fight scene (though I could see a montage of Kelsier's life set to that song).

As for Supremacy... again, the lyrics are a decent fit. I'm not a fan of modern-styled music for fantasy settings though. I find it detracts from my immersion. There's a reason the got Howard Shore for LotR, you know what I mean? ;)

Dude, for sure--as long as you include the Prelude. I can imagine Prelude playing when he escapes Hathsin and looks out over the red landscape and ash... Resistance would be a good one, as well--since it's so orchestral.

Best. Topic. Ever!

Muse are okay, but Survival was a terrible song. Most of their material since Black Holes is nothing impressive. I'd be embarrassed for Kelsier if this played behind him in his battle. He deserves Two Steps From Hell.
