Kobold King he/him Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Oh, do I ever. Let's see, there's classic hippie (what you'd see in the 1960s): Modern hippie: And bohemian: And Revolution wouldn't have to fully conform to any one of those styles; she could combine elements of each to find a style that suited her. I like the bohemian style, especially that last one. What special touches would Funtimes be likely to add--more sparkles and sequins? Upvotes for whoever graffiti's the posters with the words 'Waifu stealer'. I'm picturing an enormous statue, like in the Batman vs Superman trailer, emblazoned with the words "WAIFU STEALER" in red spraypaint. 1

Me and Maill were making one, and now that I have my laptop back, it should be done soon I'll try and get a segment up for Meliability soonish too so if anyone wants to fight her let me know.
Mckeedee123 he/him Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 (edited) Do you guys need the commentary? You were gone at the time, so I just wrote some in myself. She only speaks (to the contestants) at the very beginning. Tell me if you want to write it yourself, though. A voice boomed through the arena. That would be Olivia. "Alright, folks, let's get started! On the bottom of the sphere is our town's most famous Jell-O aficionado, Mouldbreaker! On the... other bottom, is the up-and-coming vanilla challenger, Alexio Maximus!" Mouldbreaker noted the name. "Obviously, the arena is endowed with Earth-gravity at the edges. Both contestants have had their powersets switched to enhanced strength and durability, and will be leading a group of heroic soldiers into..." She lowered her voice menacingly. "...mortal, hand-to-hand combat, to the DEATH!" Sure enough, a group of unarmed soldiers popped into existence around him. The speaker blipped back on. "Oh, um, yes," Olivia said quickly, "victory is achieved when the enemy Team Leader is dead or incapacitated in a way approved by our beloved leader. Have a nice fight!" Voidus Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 (edited) Could Bone? Definitely, I was hoping for some more commentary though, could you do both? EDIT: Just an aside, Olivias immunity extends to Soulcaster himself, she's not obligated to adore him or anything and is welcome to make fun of him if it'll make the match more interesting. Then again Soulcasters liable to change his mind at the drop of a hat so she might get stuck in a torturous reality for all time. Edited August 9, 2015 by Voidus
Edgedancer he/him Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 (edited) Here is another Epic I want to introduce to Salem. He would work for Soulcaster (Quiver, maybe you would like to work together?) probably as an assistant or bodyguard. His name is Countdown and can basically create a bendalloy bubble with a unlimited radius. He also has super senses and can fire energy blasts from his hands. What kind of energy blasts are you talking about? Just concussive energy, something that could punch through a wall, mostly heat or whatever and to what extend? Edit: and how does the edge of the bubble interact with objects crossing it, partially inside and something like his energy beams? Upvotes for whoever graffiti's the posters with the words 'Waifu stealer'. Anyway, yeah: figured Sentry/Watchdogs powers would make then good as an underling for a dictatorship. "Waifu Stealer" sounds like a job for Shiny Sparkle. I like the bohemian style, especially that last one. What special touches would Funtimes be likely to add--more sparkles and sequins? Good choice, sir. Edited August 9, 2015 by Edgedancer 1

Edgedancer he/him Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 What Happened to Shiny Sparkle when she left the Dalles Part 1... coming to a thread near you? Important question, which Waifus does Salem have?
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted August 9, 2015 Author Posted August 9, 2015 What Happened to Shiny Sparkle when she left the Dalles Part 1... coming to a thread near you? Would a movie beginning with Shiny waking up be called Dalles Wars Episode VII: The Waifu Thief Awakens? 2
Edgedancer he/him Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Would a movie beginning with Shiny waking up be called Dalles Wars Episode VII: The Waifu Thief Awakens? Make it Oregon Wars, to be all inclusive. May all the Waifus tremble in fear of her mollestation. 1
Mckeedee123 he/him Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 What is a Waifu? *Looks it up on KnowYourMeme* Ooooooooh. That thing. 1
Edgedancer he/him Posted August 9, 2015 Posted August 9, 2015 Kobold, for one here's a bit more elaborate bio for Pandemonium: Primary Power: The creation of shadowy constructs that act as her servants. Constructs are solid to the touch but loose shape after taking a proper hit, afterwards they reform. Mass and form of the Constructs is not fixed and can be adjusted as necessary, as long as Pandemonium can comprehend the design the form of a construct can range from a simple object, like chairs or weapons, to complex ones such as a clock or mimicking living organisms. To summon/create them she needs some kind of darkness, although once the summoning starts the darkness remains, even if light is directly shined on it. Between her and the constructs exists a kind of hive mind with her as the center, allowing her to gain information from them and keep control over their actions even if they are spread out over a large area. Secondary: Healing factor: Once wounded the same mass of darkness that forms her constructs fills the wound and reforms her flesh. (Given that this is still a WIP I’m considering adding secondary powers like casting out shadows from herself or turning her constructs into portals.) Appearance: Wears a gothic Lolita style dress, with a wide skirt and sleeves that end in long tatters which in turn flows into shadows that they trail behind her. Long black hair, with one pink streak, embellished with a black lace ribbon. Usually has a humanoid construct following her and holding up a parasol. No pony, because I couldn't make one that I liked, especially the facial expression. Also when do you think the next Lightwards post is coming? I'm thinking about waiting with the Nighthound post until after that one, so I can wrap up all of my characters in one go for the day. Also also one a completely different note, what would everyone think about a potential storyline (in the far far future) in case the problems in the city don't really end up destroying the towns, one Epic turning up, makes contact with the ruling Epics of the locations under the context of creating something akin to the coven and then backstabs all of them to start a giant war in all of Oregon? 1

Cool. Should Sam and Revolution approach Funtimes asking for clothes after showers the next morning, or should it be Funtimes' idea? I like her! Her PI's a bit similar to Nighthound's, but that's hardly a problem considering how cool it is. I'll try to get Lightwards up later today. Is there a simple diamond staircase he could ascend back to the jungle part of the Museum, and if not, could I include Lucentia making one for him? If it's necessary, that would definitely be a good way to shake things up. Personally though, I think a better way would be to have Oblieration arrive, start destroying towns and parts of cities, and then have people like Lucentia, Soulcaster, Rainmaker, and maybe even the City Guard forced to collaborate with one another while secretly backstabbing one another. Far more deliciously chaotic. 1

I was thinking closer to Lucentia actually but I have to agree on the cool part. Yes, there's a spiral stair case. Ray is currently on it, trying to hid somewhat out of scene to avoid Nighthound's attention but also still in the scene so she doesn't get punished for trying to run away or something like that. I dunno as much as I love Obliteration, I wouldn't want to over use him as the focus of our end game and instead keep him for a couple of cameos or singular plotlines. I can name a whole list of movies better than that, and Paul Blart: Mall Cop is one of them. I like both versions of the backstabbing idea, honestly. Though the notion of Vondra and Lucentia forced to cooperate is wonderfully explosive. 1

So he'll scowl at Lucentia because his pterodactyl stunt was completely unnecessary, he'll scowl at Ray as he walks by for no real reason at all, then he'll abuse the Unicyclist briefly before going to bed. Crazy idea... what if Obliteration inspired a cult of destructive Epics claiming to act in his name? That way he could appear to cause destruction, and his influence would be felt, but there'd still be a lot of inter-player combat. Either way. It might actually help them get on her good side if they came to her with the idea, it being a fun distraction and all. Plus, who doesn't like pretty things? I had a vague idea of Funtimes doing some "house work" while the vanillas are asleep, letting them know next morning that she'd made new sets of clothes for them. Sam could come out of the shower, check her wardrobe, and then come storming out in a pink fluffy bathrobe to protest the frilly creation she's expected to wear.

Sounds like a good idea, I would totally worship Obliteration. (not!) To be fully honest though I would prefer for whatever kickstarts our finally (if we need an additional catalyst) to be something original on our end instead of taking a canon character as the cause. This may become a very beautiful scene.

If Sam were angry when she confronted Funtimes, yes. It might be best if she runs into Nathan first, so he can tell her about the proposed pink tux and encourage her to just give Funtimes a little direction.

Nathan could be checking to see if everyone's ready to teleport to the Museum, but peaking into Sam's room reveals her sitting on a chair in her bathrobe. His first impulse is to duck back out and let her change, but there's something about her face as she stares at the frilly dress laid out on her bed... something on her face that says "I hate my life right now." But yeah, that definitely seems like a good plan.
