As is mentioned in another book, most people think of accents as something the other guy has. So, does Shallan mean, he has the accent she's grown used to in the Warcamps, the accent of Kholinar? Or does he have her accent, from Jah Keved?

I thought Veden was an offshoot of Alethi, related but not the same. So, if she is saying perfect Alethi, it probably means Kholinar Alethi or some such.

Is there an ideal form/version of Alethi that is taught in schools? Because this is what someone using that Babel fish thing would probably use. And could it be that when they say speech it is not just accent, it is also vocabulary and grammar. Hoid says 'perfect Alethi, with no hint of accent". It could imply that he is using proper vocabulary and grammar too. After all, if an english spy in WWII had perfect German accent but didn't know German grammar or vocabulary, they were as good as dead.
