A Command, yes. If it's one person to about eight. More than that and it'll be very hard. They'll have a grin slip by or a small chuckle. If he's trying it on a whole group, it won't do much at all.

Then am I the only one who thinks he should address an entire crowd while wearing his cool new glasses?

Well, he should always wear his new glasses,so the question is only how many people are living in Corvallis.

I know a couple of people that could give her a ride. :P

Sounds good, but let's limit our results to people who won't deliberately slow the trip to get more chances to flirt with her. :P

People whose names rhyme with "Piney Larkle," you mean? :P

Tiny Snarkle and Ref Dish are the two most notorious flirts in the RP. :P

Bunrhymes or Oversaturation would most likely be saver travel options. Then again, she can always ask her step-dad.  :P

And one always has to clean after traveling with Sooty Barry.

Just give her a police siren and the policeman's handgun. It'll be fine. :P

Suddenly I', very interested in seeing how she would do in the Dalles.

Honestly? She probably wouldn't do much. Sam largely lashes out at Epics out of anger and frustration about her life and the sorry state vanillas live in. The Dalles, being a comparative paradise to Portland, would probably allow her to live a somewhat more normal adolescence.

She still might spray graffiti on Deathwish's house in the middle of the night, and might--just might--wind up as friends with Scribbler or Edgerunner. It's hard to say.

But think about the mutent pandas! Plus what would the situation concerning her father be?

Stepfather, you mean? I think he prefers his stepdaughter call him "Pappy Obliteration." B)

Sorry, Sam asked me to post this:

ಠ_ಠ

No.

No I was talking about her real father and if his fate would have played out differently in the Dalles or alternatively how she would deal with it there but talking about stepfathers, say Kobold, is Mrs. Trattner in Vondra's age range?

Vondra's life has been sadly lacking in cupcakes lately.

Certainly sounds like a better plan than Vapor Snake being his ex-wife. :P

This definitely adds new meaning to that moment when Vondra said he may very well be the most dangerous Epic in The Dalles.

Nothing is more dangerous than a failed attempt at shipping.  It also wouldn't exactly take away the creepy from stripping him(?) and then throwing him in a cell.

Whew, sure glad I didn't lose that post.  Probably should have written it in a word document, but I was on a roll.

I'd like a short break (just a day or two), and then I'll post again to begin Day 2.  I can't believe we've completed Day 1 already!  I hope everyone else had as much fun as I did.

Is it bad that I kind of enjoy putting my characters through awful situations?

Not really something you have to feel bad about. ;)

I didn't yet have time to read the entire behemoth of a post but about that first segment, did Insight have any form of protection against Hypno just ordering him to stop using his powers? Because if there wasn't something like that I just didn't catch him getting out of there alive is both a gigantic plot hole and a case of god modding in not letting Hypno say a couple simply words.

I'm not sure exactly how Hypno's powers work but Insight was only tangible for a second, and he's generally immune to all powers when immaterial (or whatever I call it) unless it is another immaterial person using the powers . Plus, based on how I understand Hypno's powers, he would have no one to target.

I can always change things though if people (mainly Mailliw) disagree. If Hypno need another post, I could also take out Euphorias bit and then add it in after.

I'm not really sure if it makes sense in this case for him to be completely immune. It works by sound, which still reaches him and effects his mind, which isn't actually that detached from "reality" gven he can still make conclusions like "That is the Iron Ogress, she's being influenced to talk, I don't want her to talk to these people or mess with them or whatever my motives are, I have to stop her, for that i need her weakness which is..." and so on. I could see a bit of extra resistance but not enough to keep him from being slaughtered by the asortment of Epics there, who would have had enough time to react given the advance notice from the command.

As for targetng him, if that would work is for Mailliw to decide I agree, but from what Hypno has heard about him the logical conclusion would be he's invisible, even if that's not completely accurate, so I don't think there should be anything stopping him from just aiming his powers at where he used to be. Otherwise, it's pretty clear that he still has something in mind, if not why bother using her weakness, and saying something like "Insight, stop using your powers" literally only takes a second.

And another thing, how does Euphoria know what her weakness is during her own rending, because I'm pretty sure Epics aren't supppossed to just kow that from what we've been told?
