She probably would have yes, she's given one to each of her parents so she can quickly protect them if needed. I'm somewhat tempted to have her dog become her super powered sidekick with various tattoo-endowed abilities but that might be stretching canon a bit

I don't know if I'd call it materialistic so much as practical. Money buys pugs, and the internet, which allows access to pug pictures and ponies.
