Message received and understood. * salutes *

(But am I the only one who imagines this "admin hat" looking something like this? :P)

How do you know what the admin hat looks like?

*Checks over shoulder for spies.

EDIT: In all seriousness, if the Admin hat really looked like that, I think I would enjoy wearing it more.

Kobold, there's only one thing to do.

We must ponify Comatose, find a flamingo hat vector image, and use the SSCS6000 to place the amazing piece of headgear on his head.

So here are some ideas I had to flesh out Salem that I might mention in my next post if you guys want them to be canon (Voidus is in charge here, I believe.)

-Soulcaster keeps the matches varied. There are Hunger Games-style survival matches, capture the flag games, army battles, and straight-up cage matches.

-Soulcaster has the ability to set up matches where neither Epic has full access to their powers. They might be reduced or empowered to make the fights a bit more even.

-Insta-kill powers (ie. Corpsemaker) are almost never set into in Soulcaster's mind arenas

-Salem is *somewhat* famous worldwide. The matches are televised (somehow) so that what few people have access to Cable can watch them.

-Vanillas can get in on the action, too. The matches are varied occasionally so that both Epics don't have any powers and must fight hand-to-hand, and vanillas fight in these matches sometimes (hand-to-hand is pretty brutal, though, since nobody has to worry about the participants' safety)

-Because vanillas can also participate in the matches, Salem doesn't have the same attitude towards them as most of the rest of the world. Status in Salem isn't based on Calamity's touch so much as a person's success in the arena.

-I'm not sure if you guys were joking about putting real vanillas into Soulcaster's paradises, but I'm not sure if it's necessary. Anyway, I'd humbly like to suggest that the canon term for these places be "Dreamstate."

-There's a tier system ranging from 1 to 10 that I can get into later, based on two factors, Prime Invincibility and Insta-kill (PI and IK, for short.) Epics are tiered according to this system.

-The arena designs are almost unlimited in their variety, and usually one is chosen that evens out the match between whoever's fighting (I've thought of a few designs on my own.)

-Outside of the arena, fighting and grandstanding is an absolute no-no, and that rule is enforced by Mouldbreaker, Antithesis, and Showstopper, the town's resident lawkeepers.

That all sounds pretty cool.

Well, alright.

I'm going to wait for Voidus' opinion on this stuff before I do anything, but I think that basically the next post I write is going to be from Outlaw/Mouldbreaker's perspective where Mouldbreaker gets a call from the bartender (Think Tank?) that there's a haughty new Epic that came in and started bullying vanillas.

Only changes I'd make are that I use a 5 tier system for all of my Epics so that's what I'd be more inclined to use and that while Vanillas may earn prestige in the arena most still wouldn't be participants and as such generally speaking they wouldn't be treated much better than anywhere else although at the least they wouldn't be able to be murdered on the spot with no consequences.

Also on the power altering I hadn't mentioned it yet but it was a planned part of his abilities but I thought I'd put it to a vote before canonizing it.

Okay. Sounds good. I might edit my post, it sounds kind of weak.

Great Autumn post, Twi. :D

Elsa felt a sudden rage of frustration through her veins. She got up quickly, knocking the chair over with a large crash. Ice spikes formed around nearby beds.

"Would someone please tell me what is going on?"

Nice going, Elsa. Now Arsenal has to kill everyone in the building again. <_<:P

Indeed. The thaught of stalker Shiny is rather haunting.

I just knew this was going to happen. How about he only kill the Epics? :P

The sparkles don't make the stalking any less terrifying. :o:P

Or sticks Elsa in a room with Reader so he can explain what's going on. :ph34r:

On a different note, I've been trying to find that site Autumn references, which is real, to determine whether or not it was serious or written by a troll.

Instead, I found a site claiming the Potter books are evil because "Potter" is the name of a Babylonian creator deity. :blink:

Kobold, even Shiny Sparkle is sane enough to not call herself a "stealth" admirer. :P Edited by Edgedancer

One source lamented the fact that he read one chapter in GoF and "was exposed to four murders." All the while I'm thinking about Dumbledore's explanation that "murder splits the soul in two" and going "Yes, and...?"

What adjective would she use, then? "Stealth admirer" seems accurate to me. :P

Passionate or maybe dedicated. You know, something that sounds Nice and fits her explosive personality.

What I don't get is that a lot of the people who vigorously attack Harry Potter are also devoted fans of the Narnia books. The Narnia books, which contain:

  • Magic both good and evil;
  • Murder on large and small scales;
  • Slavery and associated beatings;
  • Implications of torture and cannibalism;
  • At least two personifications of the Devil.

What is so terrible about the Harry Potter books that can't be said about Narnia or LotR?
