Silus - Shard of Flame he/him Posted October 14, 2011 Author Posted October 14, 2011 It's not actually up. They only have the first round on the brackets. The next rounds play a little differently, so you'll find out during the announcements prior to the second round, which starts at noon the next day.
Emeralis00 she/her Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 EDIT: So...prophecies now. What do you think? Any guesses? I would like to put in a comment that there is a thread for theories As for the prophecy... The stone is false and always has been! Are spheres made of stone? I got nothing. A shelter for the immortal who holds the horrid secret that damns us all! This is where i get suspicious of you Silus; since both the Geass and Death Note fit. The Death Note has the shinigami, which is immortal, but in the anime Code Geass the ultimate manifestation of the Geass is immortality. Beware the eye: the eye that stares into the void and, unblinking, unflinching, feeds on its power! Again, both the Geass and Death Note fit. Geass is obvious, and the Death Note has the eye contract. The only thing is, if the benefactor made the eye contract, why would he need the bedroom doors with names on them? TV tropes says the prophecy is about the The benefactor, but my ego says its Geass. What do you guys think?
Eerongal he/him Posted October 15, 2011 Posted October 15, 2011 Is there anything particular that I know about the mercenary group she's a part of? I know you said they have a nasty reputation, but that doesn't really tell me much.
Silus - Shard of Flame he/him Posted October 15, 2011 Author Posted October 15, 2011 Roving bandits, mainly, with a tendency toward burning out small villages, but that's off of a job. They're very effective killers, usually armed with magic or tech. Their leader is known as the Duchess of Wrath, who's said to be as beautiful as a sunset yet deadly as a Sun Wyrm - which is pretty freaking deadly.
Comatose he/him Posted October 16, 2011 Posted October 16, 2011 So, I don't know much about the in game currency. As a noble whose been hunting treasure and looting places for the last few years, how much money do you think it would be reasonable for River to have? In my mind he's fairly well off at this point. He took a decent amount when he fled, and his funds have grown since then. Since I have no idea if he should be able to buy the Dynamic Overdriver, I thought I would ask you.
Silus - Shard of Flame he/him Posted October 16, 2011 Author Posted October 16, 2011 (edited) A single emerald broam would be more than River has by a significant amount. (I describe this a bit in my last response to Eero.) EDIT: @Cuairr: I actually wasn't referring to the yellow lines when I said he was speeding over something. The Frostbourne he/him Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 (edited) You know, watching Jack's play and looking through the Data again has made me want a second character. Is this acceptable, Silus? Also, if Silus does allow me (to be honest, I'm assuming he will), I am looking for opinions as to the gender of my second character. I am bugged slightly by the lack of female characters. Don't call me sexist; don't call me anti-sexist. I don't control it; it simply is. What do you all prefer? I would like your opinions, as I am neutral in the matter, and would hate to resort to a coin flip or some such shenanigan. Edited October 17, 2011 by The Frostbourne
Emeralis00 she/her Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Well, if you do go female, I made a few formspheres that only females can use. (One is approved by Silus, the other isn't though so I have to send it to him.)
Silus - Shard of Flame he/him Posted October 17, 2011 Author Posted October 17, 2011 Gor for it, Frost. But keep in mind that the more characters we have, the quicker we get to PvP fights in the tournament. Whether that's good or bad depends on your point of view. One reason I'm glad that KChan shows interest in Nexus is precisely because of the gender imbalance. If you think you can pull off a female character, though, than by all means, do so.
Comatose he/him Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 If I ever do end up making a second character, she'll be female. She and her sphere-set are actually already bubbling around in my head. We'll see if she ever gets made though... I already have a lot of commitments over at MBI (What... since when is my character count there 12?), so I'm trying to slow down with the character creation for a while until I have things under control.

To be entirely honest, I'm excited for PvP. EITHER I win, and get an epic fight, or I lose, and get to explore more of the fascinating world Silus has created. Comatose- I'm not certain I know what MBI is. Would you enlighten me, please? EDIT: Wow, sorry Comatose. I should have seen that. My bad. I don't feel like adding to postnumbers just to kick myself for not catching that. Edited October 17, 2011 by The Frostbourne
Comatose he/him Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 It's Mistborn: The Inquisition, the 17th shard Mistborn RP. If you want to check it out, click the link at the top, or just click the picture in my sig (which features 8 of my twelve characters... kind of need to update it and find pictures for my two obligators).
Silus - Shard of Flame he/him Posted October 21, 2011 Author Posted October 21, 2011 There's been a change in the Application. There's now a system when it comes to Grids you can pick to start off with (including some other Spheretech), which is similar to how it is with Forms. Don't worry, your current characters don't have to change, this is just something for new characters. That means you, Frost. XP
Comatose he/him Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Hey... The Shardic Nuns wouldn't happen to be from ally, would they? At first I thought they were your own creation, but then, from the six chapters I read, they sounded vaguely alloy-ish so I thought I would check.

Cuaiir he/him Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 I'd wager you can still create more, but you'd have to run it by Silus for approval first. Especially if you wanted extra Spheretech, like Fusers, Evolvers, or other things seen here.
Silus - Shard of Flame he/him Posted October 21, 2011 Author Posted October 21, 2011 That is precisely what it means. Of course, you had to run it by me before, but now there's a bit more structure to it, which, I think is better than the way it was. I underestimated how much influence a Grid could have on a character and their abilities, how there's more of a way to do these things.
The Frostbourne he/him Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Alright, I guess that makes sense. *uneraseuneraseunerase*
Sylent-Rayne Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 Username: Sylent-Rayne Contact: [email protected] Character Name: Meadowlyn (Meadow for short) Age: 21 Gender: Male Hometown: Llenestra Marital Status: Single Appearance: Slightly tan skin, long, blonde hair reaching to the shoulders (Usually tied into a braid),5' 11", 130lbs, olive green eyes, feminine body shape Personality: Shy, friendly, caring, extremely curious, girly, intelligent, charismatic, quick thinking. History: Meadowlyn was born into the royal family of Llenestra. As a child, he showed a talent for languages and music. At the age of 17, he decided to travel the world, learning about the people and places he had not seen. His appearance makes it easy to impersonate both men and women, which he has used to his advantage. Meadow always has some sort of animal by his side, weather it be a mouse or a tiger. More often than not, Meadow is seen with a wolf, which causes some of the places he visits to call him the Esavodh, the master of wolves. Now at the age of 22, Meadow has now added mastery of language to his skills. He can speak almost 200 languages fluently, including (Though not known to most) the languages of animals. He is always seen with a small notebook, but the significance of this is unknown. Initial Grid: (Not sure what this is yet... >< Sorry) Forms: Earthbender, Gentle Fist, Telekinetic

Great to see a new player. There are some things that'll need to be fixed in this application, though. Where is Llenstra, what's the culture and government like, and how many Spheremorphs do they have? If you're okay with it, I'd like you to PM me about what the notebook is for. The Initial Grid just tells us what kind of Morphing Grid you start out with. There's a list in the Data Topic that you can use if you want, though you can also come up with one of your own. If you're not sure what the Morphing Grid is, there's information on it in the Story Topic, or you can ask about what you're confused by. We're more than willing to help out. We'll need a description of the Gentle Fist and Telekinetic Forms. You have a interesting character, and I'm sure we'll find a place for you; a few things need to be cleared up first.
Emeralis00 she/her Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Sylent! Glad to see you! Also, I see what you did there! If you want, I can talk to you about your character at school later.
The Frostbourne he/him Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 (edited) woah! New player! welcome, oh friend of Em! Hmm... This makes my female character somewhat redundant... Oh, well. Too late; she is nearly finished! Ah, mask? Now I just have to find a way top get that bit of Sphere in my possesion to see what I can make go wrong for me... It's bound to happen eventually. Edited October 24, 2011 by The Frostbourne
Silus - Shard of Flame he/him Posted October 24, 2011 Author Posted October 24, 2011 (edited) He may be feminine but he's not actually a girl, you've got plenty of room, Frost. And picking up that mask may not be the best option, she IS carving it out of her Formsphere. Edited October 24, 2011 by Silus - Shard of Flame
The Frostbourne he/him Posted October 24, 2011 Posted October 24, 2011 Sorry, I forget at times how poorly deadpan humour carries into a text format. Also, I was (accidentally) referencing the character I have in the works. I figure it would make for n interesting time, yes? If she wanted to be rid of it, but wanted to have it originally, that means it must have some advantage. It would make for interesting storytelling, at least.
Silus - Shard of Flame he/him Posted October 24, 2011 Author Posted October 24, 2011 Hint: You've seen the effect of this mask.
