StormAtlas
I was thinking as I was reading about all of the splinters and had a few thoughts/questions It seems to me from the letter (that presumable Hoid wrote) that the writer and who ever it is a dressed to personally know all of the splinters by the way that are both name drooped and described. Does any one know where the original splinters come from? Are they all from one place and maybe all knew each other that way or do they come from each world that the shard inhabits? Do you think that splinters can world hop? If the original splinters aren't all from the same the same world maybe they have met each other all through world hopping ? ( I assume this is possible since Odium seems to be doing it? ) and just a random thought but is Hoid possibly a shard? I don't think he is but I figured I'd ask so that some one a little more learned could confirm for me
Windrunner he/him
Hmm... Here's the thing to understand about Splinters. They are almost like-mini shards, often with their own intent. They're not inherently sentient. The Divine Breath, for example, is a non-sentient Splinter. Someone can hold a Splinter, or Splinters can likely be brought to consciousness, like possible Seons, Skaze, and honorspren. So, do you mean "people with splinters"? Or were you referring to something else?
StormAtlas
I was thinking about the people with splinters and I guess the people who also hold shards. I should have clarified more. I know that the shards/splinters intent change the holders but I was wondering where all the holders came from because it seems from the message written (by hoid?) indicates to knew the holders before they became holders
Nepene he/him
Hoid was there when Adonaslium shattered and was on the same world for a while after. It's quite likely that people on that world, Yolen, were the original shardholders. He likely knew some of them, edit. some by reputation some personally. Corrected, as I was unclear. Asperity he/him
Hoid was there when Adonaslium shattered and was on the same world for a while after. It's quite likely that people on that world, Yolen, were the original shardholders. He may have known some of them, by reputation if not personally. He did know some of them personally (assuming he was the author of The Letter).
