I'd love to do a more rules-based RPG sometime, I love the freestyle play of WHIO but I've always wanted to do a tabletop, just not enough people I know unfortunately.

I'll be honest, I'm not too keen on games with complex rules most of the time. That's one of the reasons I've avoided the Sanderson Elimination games. (The other reasons being that I hate being backstabbed, I'm not keen on the amount of PM time they take up, and I can't guarantee the consistent posting that they require.:P)

I think that was the plan originally yes... I at least had her mention two pieces of information at the beginning of the conversation and I can't remember what the other could have been. :P

Um... how handsome Lightwards looks in the dim lighting? :P

I love our RP here as well but it is fun to play around with. (I'll be honest I never managed to gather enough people IRL to run a proper T-RPG, so I'm kinda curious how that would go. )

Darn it Edge why were you born in the wrong country!? :P

I only played a couple of SE games in the beginning, being in a different time zone screwed me over pretty badly. First game I got killed on my birthday (and I was totally on the trail of the bad guys as well  ), because I didn't have the time to put up a proper defense. Second game the bad guys did their best to get rid of me because I called a semi-secret game breaking mechanic (Reading PMs) and in the third game I survived. Then I quit.

Sure, let's go with that. <_<:P

I know. (Tecnically, it is possible to run a game over Skype or something like that.)

I'd say that such things didn't happen here, but there was that time Voidgaze got killed in the bank... :P

Voidus, now that Impact's in the general vicinity of Portland, will her posts be going in the "What Happened in Portland" thread, or will her posts stay in The Dalles? Will she be coming back to The Dalles, or is that a secret?

She'll be back in the Dalles by the next game-day so I'll probably keep her posts in the Dalles thread for ease of following.

And then they disecrated her corpse because they were bored. Ah, the bad old times. :P

Of course she's coming back to the Dalles. I already paid for the grudge match. :P

Is one day really enough to take care of her wounds?

Voidus and Twi, do any of you want to go next in Astoria or should I talk with Slowswift?

I think realistically you'd need weeks or months to heal properly from a stab wound like that.

Maybe she could run into a helpful healing Epic?

I think it'd be enough for any necessary surgery and such, she probably wouldn't be allowed to move normally but she'll just be murdering her doctors and ignoring that advice. In short: probably not but I don't think it would do any serious harm if she's still using her powers to keep herself together, she'll likely be deaf for a good long while though, months at least so functionally for the rest of the game.

Bioterror doesn't have much to say so yeah that's probably best.

You know, it occurs to me that Converter and Phoenix would make a powerful pair. He heats himself up, and she draws the heat into herself. He is an endless energy source.

I realized that too. I told one of my friends, and he said it reminded him of that scene in the first Avengers where Thor blasts Iron Man with lightning, and Jarvis says " Power at 400% capacitry"

Yeah, my first game I died when I went camping over the weekend and wasn't in internet access (and it was really annoying, because I was killed by a 2 vote lead and I had Feruchemical duralumin  ) and the second time pretty much the same thing happened, but I heired my spanreed to Meta, so I obviously am the reason that game was won.  :P

Go ahead. My post would just be the Financier weeping. :P

Blackhoof, I thought Epics couldn't heal each other?

Epics who heal by gifting like Prof can't but if there was a fleshwarper they could.

Should we start teaching her sign language?

Koschei and Panacea are both gifters. A healer whose primary power is healing other people could definitely heal others though, like how Backtrack's not a gifter but can still Show others what he sees.

Depends on the power- Epics with regen cannot gift each other, but if an Epic has a specific power that allows them to speed up the healing process in others, then there isn't any reason they couldn't.

I'm not even sure, if a day would be enough to get the sediatives used in the surgery out of her system. There's also the question of exhaustion, if she has to use an active power constantly.

I'll contact him then.

On the healing thing. Tecnically there's nothing in the books stating that Epics can't heal other Epics but given the corrupted nature of the entity giving them their powers I'm not sure if he would give a "good" power like healing.

She'd definitely still be pretty out of whack but personally I'm looking forward to writing a drug-fueled Epic rampage.

For some reason I feel like I'd be good at writing a character who's on strong pain medication...:P

There's self-healers like Prof who can gift their powers, and there's the chance that other healers might be able to actually heal, but also mutate the body's cells to give someone horrible cancer.

I definitely don't have an Epic with exactly that powerset hidden away in my archives.

I look forward to it. :P (Seriously. The momentum twins are a couple of my favorite characters in any thread. :D)

Yeah, Impact's best bet would be to contact an Epic like Slaughterhouse or the Panda. Not than either of them would be particularly helpful.

well we do have mention of healing Epics in Steelheart, and I don't think that a regeneration/gifting combo would be very common.

So its entirely possible.

Naww shucks, you're just saying that cause I bribed you with their backstory aren't you? :P

So her choices are being healed but turned into a grotesque walking experiment or being healed but being turned into a panda. Assuming they don't just kill her on the spot. Drat, looks like I'll have to go with drug-fueled!Impact for a while :P

There's a correlation between my receiving their backstories and them being favorite characters of mine--that correlation mainly being that I found them even more awesome after hearing it. ;):D

Fun fact: Slaughterhouse has an entire hallway filled with the still-living faces of vanillas who've defied him, always screaming in perpetual anguish. It's probably for the best that "What Happened in Calamityville" didn't go anywhere.

Oh! Drug-fueled!Impact should team up with TooMuchOxy so she won't starve! :P
