Edgedancer he/him Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Yeah that's why I nerfed Bioterror in regards to Epics, although luckily there was a handy justification for it, being able to just murder people by looking at them is a pretty handy power. Bioterror was even worse than the Metal is now, given that he could get by most PIs even the Metal could do nothing about appart from the whole Invulnerability bit that Steelheart got. 1

Yeah I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work on Nightwielder type intangibility either, but it depends on how exactly it works, most intagibles in game would probably be vulnerable to it. Although thinking about it, Bioterror even as he is now would make a pretty killer combination with the Metal, the Metal can pin down pretty much anyone whatever the PI, Bioterror just needs enough time and he can kill most people even with a PI. Also they both enjoy playing music while they death-murder people 1

Newton's force direction could probably still mess them up but sure The Metal and Bioterror for BFFs and the Financer can be their Zoidberg. Somewhat unrelated question but I wonder how Steelheart's metabolism works. He can't suffocate but still eats and sleeps, so could he starve and collapse from exhaustion or is it more of a psychological need? 1

I thought of it as being like Elantrians, he still gets hungry so he eats food but his Epic powers would continue providing him enough energy to function even if he didn't. Not sure on sleep, he could probably go insane from lack of sleep though. 2

Blackhoof Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 It's not quite enveloped, Terra just shoved a pillar of dirt into his face, clogging his nostrils and mouth. Once he flies away though, it'll be harder to do that. Yeah. And storming OP Epic's make things harder to figure out. I used to think the Destructors were super strong Eoics. Then I pitted them against Edge's characters. haha Des is just facing the worst opponent he could face Ah, I see. There's a reason I never intended to make Astoria a playing location. I didn't object when the topic came up but I specifically never proposed the idea so no one could complain after they realized how much of a rigged game Astoria is. Sparks, I could just end the fight in a matter of second by having the Metal call back to Mary about having dealt with the problem, then she brings him in and tada everyone on your side, except Smasher is either dead or pinned down. well Hawk would just keep reincarnating, but I'm sure you would find a way to deal with him more permanently while squashing him over and over again it is hilariously op hahaha Oh, the dilemmas of physics being broken in multiple ways. Yeah, given Steelheart's power levels, I doubt he would be able to starve either. And if he is trapped he could probably sleep eventually, depends where he is. Issue is trapping him somewhere.

I like to call that option "Mary manipulating his bloodstream to induce an artifical coma." It's diabolical, really. Personally, I like to consider the Metal as the pinacle of raw physical strenght. Pretty sure, he could just blow up every prision you put him in.
Voidus Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Maybe not quite that sadistic and with better background music but sure something like that. Sounds legit. How about: The duo of awesome music plus a crazy accountant? 3
Edgedancer he/him Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 How about: The duo of awesome music plus a crazy accountant? I don't think Brightdeath's going to leave the Metal alone for a while yet. So the quartett of murder awesome? (the murder is a recognized part of the name. ) 1
Voidus Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 So, we have a Quartett, a Trifecta, and... Is there a Duo in the Dalles? Is there going to be a Quad in Corvallis? The Dalles has the twins I guess?
Kobold King he/him Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 The Dalles has the twins I guess? And with Backtrack they're kind of a trio?
Voidus Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Good point. Except they're not terrifying. (well, in comparison to the Quartett and the Trifecta) Is that a challenge?
Kobold King he/him Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Is that a challenge? A challenge to make Backtrack cry? Because that's what Dark!MV would accomplish.
Edgedancer he/him Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 (edited) The Dalles has the twins I guess? They are currently split up though. I dunno maybe some couples will develop. Is that a challenge? But you're also a part of the Quartett, how do you want to defeat yourself? Edited April 19, 2015 by Edgedancer
Voidus Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 A challenge to make Backtrack cry? Because that's what Dark!MV would accomplish. Dark!MV should make lots of people cry, particularly if I'm writting her. She's one of my favourite Epics because of all the stuff she could do if she played around with her power more.

Blackhoof Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 @Comatose: hey coma, may I ask for some clarification as to where Rainmaker and the Queens are in relation to the crowd? on a stage or something?and also, where is the crowd actually gathered? in a field? in a town square? just need help visualising and such. Of those present probably. Although, Winterspell could also cause him a lot of trouble. I like to call that option "Mary manipulating his bloodstream to induce an artifical coma." It's diabolical, really. Personally, I like to consider the Metal as the pinacle of raw physical strenght. Pretty sure, he could just blow up every prision you put him in. true, but he could vaporize anything winterspell creates, unless i've misunderstood his power as working on anything nonliving. So, we have a Quartett, a Trifecta, and... Is there a Duo in the Dalles? Is there going to be a Quad in Corvallis? well Iconoclast is an Uno Hellfire is also sort of an Uno, but temporarily makes a... Hexon? Hexagon? with the Destructors in Astoria.
Voidus Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 What would we have to do to convince you to keep her as a sweetly mischievous tsundere? I shall have one of my minions send a list of my demands. 1
Kobold King he/him Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 I shall have one of my minions send a list of my demands. What is it you want? A pony comic starring your OC? A minimum daily quota of Backtrack-tears? Songs of praise sung for your Epic-level creativity?
Edgedancer he/him Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Dark!MV should make lots of people cry, particularly if I'm writting her. She's one of my favourite Epics because of all the stuff she could do if she played around with her power more. I managed to avoid Drak!Voidgaze, now what do we do about this. How high are the chances of a LabeoufDark!Scribbler? @Comatose: hey coma, may I ask for some clarification as to where Rainmaker and the Queens are in relation to the crowd? on a stage or something? and also, where is the crowd actually gathered? in a field? in a town square? just need help visualising and such. true, but he could vaporize anything winterspell creates, unless i've misunderstood his power as working on anything nonliving. well Iconoclast is an Uno Hellfire is also sort of an Uno, but temporarily makes a... Hexon? Hexagon? with the Destructors in Astoria. That would help, yes. When Des is close enough to vaporize it, Winterspell can just turn it back into water and drown him like that. An army of Unos.
Voidus Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 What is it you want? A pony comic starring your OC? A minimum daily quota of Backtrack-tears? Songs of praise sung for your Epic-level creativity? I demand ponies! Thousands and thousands of ponies! That is to say, everyone just carry on what we always do. I managed to avoid Drak!Voidgaze, now what do we do about this. How high are the chances of a LabeoufDark!Scribbler? That would help, yes. When Des is close enough to vaporize it, Winterspell can just turn it back into water and drown him like that. An army of Unos. Hmmmm... Well she can create blood so 'my god there's blood everywhere!' Check. She can create a knife so 'brandishing a knife' Check. She can create bear traps so 'But your leg Ah! It's caught in a bear trap!' Check Seems pretty likely 5
Blackhoof Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 When Des is close enough to vaporize it, Winterspell can just turn it back into water and drown him like that. hmm would it work like that? his field would constantly disintegrate everything near him into smaller components, and i assume get rid of some of its mass, like the tensors. so water would come near him, and be broken down into... hmmm a smaller mount of water? water vapor? hydrogen and oxygen atoms? I'm not sure what disintegrated water would be like, come to think of it.
Voidus Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 So no one else concerned about how close Scribbler is to actual cannibal Shia Labeouff?
TwiLyghtSansSparkles she/her Posted April 19, 2015 Author Posted April 19, 2015 (edited) Don't worry, I'm not dragging that out to be mean. Nah, I knew you were just teasing. Edited April 19, 2015 by TwiLyghtSansSparkles
Blackhoof Posted April 19, 2015 Posted April 19, 2015 Well, what is disintegration anyway? disintegration dɪsˌɪntɪˈɡreɪʃ(ə)n/ noun noun: disintegration 1. the process of losing cohesion or strength. "the twin problems of economic failure and social disintegration" 2. the process of coming to pieces. "the disintegration of infected cells" so.... smaller water pieces? that come back together anyway? I feel like that word only applies to solids....
