Zenith Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 Whilst looking at Isaac Stewart(The artist for Brandon's Books)'s stormlight art, look what I found! This is a map of Shadesmar (the cognitive realm?). Note the bordering and the distinct areas that match up to Roshar. Maybe the Nexus of Transition is how they hop worlds? A table of Voidbinding, perhaps? Note the same background and color scheme as the previous one. This also seems to be done in a different style from the surgebinding ones; more wide if you ask me. Anyway, if this has been brought up before, I apologize. Also note the link titles: "http://isaacstewart.com/images/wok/tWoK_ENDSHEET-FRONT-1-webres.jpg" for the table of surgebinding. "http://isaacstewart.com/images/wok/tWoK_ENDSHEET-REAR-2-webres.jpg" for our new table. Zenith Posted October 23, 2012 Author Posted October 23, 2012 Quick question... have you been on Coppermind.net recently? No. This is on there, isn't it? ... ... Oh well, we can discuss it here anyway, because that's what we do ..
Lady_Yasha she/her Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 No. This is on there, isn't it? ... ... Oh well, we can discuss it here anyway, because that's what we do .. Yup We speculate in chat what the other symbols are. Dragonwasps, for instance, is a complete guess. Shadesmar is always a reflection of the world that a person enters it from. Since it has been introduced in TWoK, the only map we have of it is Roshar's. Apart from that we know very little of how worldhopping works, only that Hoid is one and he's a manly man. And yes, that second image is Voidbinding. http://coppermind.net/wiki/Shadesmar
