Hi Guys and Ladies,

I looked around to see if there was a similar thread about this short story, or if someone already asked the question that I am going to ask, and didn't find one, so my apologies if this has been posted somewhere else.

However, Kelsier has been my favorite fantasy character ever since I first read Mistborn: Final Empire, and have been dying to read Brandon Sanderson's prequel starring him. As big a fan as I am of Brandon Sanderson's works, I have little use for a role-playing game,so I am wondering if there are any plans to sell this short story as an e-book sometime in the future?

Sometime in the future, yes. But in the immediate future? I'm not sure. You'd have to ask Brandon.

Last time he said he planned on releasing it, but only after a while after the RPG book had been out.

I do believe he will be releasing it eventually, but I don't know when.

However, you know you can buy the ebook of the RPG for $15 right? It has the short story in it. I think the story itself is worth the money. (And you happen to get an amazing RPG too; great resource at the very least) Not too bad.

Trust me, I'm tempted to buy it. It's just that I can buy two huge e-book novels for $15.00. Also, I'm not sure what I would do with the RPG since I don't play those types of games. Out of curiosity, how long is this story? That will ultimately determine whether I break down and buy it.

The only way to read the full story right now is to buy the tabletop RPG in ebook or hardcopy. The ebook is available now, and the printed version should ship in February 2012."

Is this still the only way to read the story?
