Strange question for you all: What sort of music playing and storage technology do you think Portland has access to?

That's a good question. What are the odds of Steve Jobs becoming a technomancer Epic who continues to distribute iPods across the Fractured States? :P

Not good, considering he's dead. Bill Gates, on the other hand...:P

So Davids phone has a built in zune? The future is bleaker than I thought.

He's what?

Huh. I really need to keep closer tabs on the news.

Tulir, what's the layout of the Florist's garden? Would I be correct in characterizing it as a walled-off private property on the city's outer border? Is it plausible that the City Guard could have been cut off from it during the panda attack, explaining why they haven't shown up to protect him until now?

Was Captain Carnogore's full title Captain Carnogore, Supreme Master of Subtlety?

He's a THOUSAND TIMES more subtle than any other Epic in California. He has a fifty-foot statue in Oakland that proclaims so on the plaque at its base. :P

Is it strange that I actually know the power profiles of both Captain Carnogore and the Lord of the Silverfish?

So Lightwards is about average for a California Epic, then? :P

If so, I wish I was that strange. I'm still trying to figure out what sort of powers an Epic named Super Hotman would have. <_<

*Hides several hundred pages of backstory and Epic profiles*

Totally.  <_<

Maybe I'll just give him some powers that have absolutely nothing to do with his name. Like….

Limited liquid transmutation: Can transform any liquid into the alcohol of his choice.

Party sense: Can sense where the best party is.

Party cannon: It isn't really a cannon, and it doesn't look like a cannon, either. It's actually teleportation to the best party. Kind of like Obliteration's danger-sensing teleportation, only with parties and much lamer.

*Hides Epic called Party Pooper with almost identical powerset*

Have I mentioned that I suck at naming my Epics yet?

I'm so bad at naming Epics, I accidentally gave a minor character a completely badchull backstory (when I used Headshot as the name of Koschei's sniper).

Super Hotman is one of my rare exceptions, along with Waffle-Fist, Lord Snakehands, and Doctor Funtimes.

All hail Lord Snakehands! Second only to the great Metronome in fearsomeness.

I'm assuming so. We won't know for sure until we wheedle more information out of the Bandersnatch.

(Captain Carnogore could cause his bullets to explode on impact. He never had much use for Backtrack, but kept him on hand anyway. The Lord of the Silverfish was a far more dangerous High Epic--he could cause any wooden structure he touched to explode into millions of silverfish under his telepathic control. What's more, when mortally wounded his body would transform into a pile of silverfish, which would then reform into a completely healed body.

(I... may have put too much thought into this. Or not enough. :P)

You're forgetting "Koschei the Deathless," which is the most badchull name in the whole RP. It's rivaled only by "Steelheart" in canon. :D

It's also inspired me to add secondary titles to many of my characters.

Purple Phoenix the insane.

Refill the dead because he interrupted a cute couple.

MV the Tsundere.

Neverthere the terrible date.

Metronome the Accurate and awesomely powerful (But actually just accurate)

Some of them might be a tad long though :P

Oh my gosh, that is terrifying. Lord of the Silverfish sounds terrible. Did people surrender to him just because he gave them the shivers?

Thanks! ^_^

I actually like silverfish--last year I worked at an old derelict house, and I got the opportunity to see a whole lot of them crawling out of the woodworks. They glint in the sunlight in a really awe-inspiring way.

I still wouldn't want to be the victim of a maniacal supervillain who drowns his enemies in endless waves of the things.

Winter spell would be something more along the lines of what they're used to fighting. He is more powerful than most, but they've dealt with ice and water Epics. Deathgale isn't too bad either. Their main problem is Mary. Her portal techniques are something they've never dealt with. I'm fine with the other two coming.

I am on pain meds, so forgive me if I don't make sense.

I don't know how well you are thinking of this fight going. I hope your tanks are not an integral part of your plan, because I think any of our guys, especially Deathgale, could reduce them to rubble just for a warm up. This may be just that parent reaction of "my kid is better than your kid," but I also think you underestimate Winterspell. Any water that is around is a deadly weapon. One of your guys had a glass of lemonade powder mixed with water? Instant daggers inside of his stomach and heart. Like you said, Mary is going to be a pretty tough opponent as well.

I don't think this is a one-sided fight. A battle of this magnitude is going to have casualties. We have to many Epics of high power for it to be otherwise. I am bringing along two or three Epics to have you kill, I built them assuming they would die. Are you willing to have the same things happen with your Epics? I know that one or two might have regenerating powers, but are they all going to come out unscathed? Is that a realistic outcome of the battle? If the battle goes sour, Kinesis, Dustdevil, and Disruption will all probably die. If the story demands it, I will even allow Winterspell to die. I won't be happy about it, but if he gets checkmated, he goes. He won't go down without a fight, but I can have him go down if needed.

Doctor Funtimes the Glittery

Koschei the Deathless

Panacea the Neurotic

Mister Meh the Whatever

Soulflicker and Amarok the Dead

and Quota the Next-to-die

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. :o

Sounds accurate to me. Who wants to do the honors of making it canon?:P

What would Nathan and Remington be?

Also, because this is obligatory for Epics mentioned in passing:

He's your character. (And Funtimes, who is sadly miles away, would canonize it were she able. :P)

Remington the Slayer

Nathan the One Whose Author Has No Idea What Title to Give Him

He's just as creepy as the bugs.

I will get to work, then. (I must say I'm looking forward to an eventual Funtimes/Backtrack meeting. In part because of how much it would terrify the latter of them for no good reason. :P)

Nathan the Ginger?

Nathan the Traveler?

Nathan the Whovian?

Nathan the Timid?

Nathan the Kind?

Nathan the Not-an-Epic?

I get the feeling that if the Lord of the Silverfish were to make his way to Oregon, he'd very quickly skitter onto the "And Then They Died" list.

"Hugs!"

"No, no, handshakes are...not as good as hugs, apparently. Somebody help me."

It will be amusing. :D

The Not-an-Epic title is reserved for Autumn. :P Nathan the Normal, maybe?

Probably. :o
