jspilot1212 Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Hey, y'all I'm fairly new here and just want to say, hello, and thank you all for the posts that you have all made! this site has me addicted!! Quick question: I don't know if it has been asked or answered before, but I was reading in Words of Radiance and in Rock's story at the tavern, did he see Hoid coming out of the "ocean" or does Lunu'anaki just look like the Coppemind's description of him? thanks for everything y'all do! this is a site sent from the Almighty Himself! 7
Voidus Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Hi welcome to the seventeenth Shard! Would you care for a welcome-cookie?I don't know if we have direct confirmation that it's Hoid but I think that at the least it'w widely believed to be him.Have you read anything other than Stormlight?
vineyarddawg Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Welcome! What Sanderson books have you read? Which one is your favorite? (I don't want to spoiler anything you haven't read yet!)
ostrichofevil he/him Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Welcome! Have a cookie! Flavors include steel, zinc, and copper chocolate chip and snickerdoodle!
Lindel he/him Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 Welcome to the forum! Have an upvote! I wouldn't eat those cookies if I were you. As to whether or not we know for sure it's Hoid, we have this WoB: Q: Will we learn more about the character currently known as Hoid in Words of Radiance?A: Yes, you will. Watch for a story told at a bar. The only story told a bar is Rock's story about meeting "Lunu'anaki". Given that, and how accurately it matches Hoid's description, and given Sigzil's reaction to the description, I'd say there's not much doubt that it was indeed Hoid. 4

Lindel he/him Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 I would totally go with a cookie so long as they have Lerasium ones You sure? I'm just as curious as the rest of us what the Hemalurgic properties of Lerasium are, but I'd rather not be on the pointy end of such a... hands-on method of experimentation, if you know what I mean. 1

Then take the other end.* *All DA-brand cookies are double spiked to ensure both ends are pointy, taking the other end will not alter the eventual corruption of your soul, usual DA disclaimer applies

Hmm, but you are eating the Spike. Doesn't really matter what the Spike does if you are only going to eat it. I doubt you chewing and swallowing the Spike would place it in any Bindpoints. So what would the affects be of eating a Hemalurgic Lerasium Spike and Burning it?
