Guest Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 The Panda grinned as Winter fell off the building. Wow. She actually fell for it. I'm glad I kept this duraluminmind on.
RawToast225 he/him Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 As Dent watched the appearing warriors, his heart sank. All his magics were good for at the moment were defense. He was no Mistborn, he wasn't an Epic, and he wasn't a Rithmatist. All he had were his glasses and his lashings. He couldn't use Stormlight without giving away his position, so he put his Windbringers lenses on his nose. Windbringers lenses for a Windrunner, he thought, smiling to himself as he scanned the battle field. That's a good combination. Dent watched as Panda and Winter met on the skyscraper, the one of three out here in the quickly developing roughs. To his disappointment, Winter just seemed to stare at him and jump away. What was with her? Was she so focused on her shortcomings that she couldn't do anything useful against the people who had given her those shortcomings? Or was it a more simple answer? Was she just bat crap crazy? Watching carefully for attackers, Dent backed into the shadows of one of the skyscrapers. No point in exposing himself more than he needed.
Screwloose Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Screwloose stood his ground, the spike disappearing mid flight before reassembling itself in his hand. "See, the problem with aluminium is that it still has a use in Hemalurgy. Silver can't carry a charge so in theory a silver spike in the right bind spot should disrupt a Hemalurgist's entire spike network. Lets try a couple more tests to be sure." Screwloose raised the rifle again and fired a tight grouping of three spikes towards Voidus's position.
Voidus Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Huh. Seems to actually know something of Hemalurgy, pity he didn't join the alleys.Voidus burned Bendalloy, the spike reduced from a barely visible gleam to three distinct objects, crawling slowly towards him.Burning Steel Voidus carefully nudged all three spikes, changing their trajectory so they just barely missed him."Not a bad plan, but while not able to carry a charge silver can still be affected by allomancy."Voidus pulled a steel ring onto one finger, wincing slightly as its hidden spikes pierced the skin. One of his smaller steelminds it was still filled with a significant amount of speed."Of course even if you were to use Aluminium, I can just do this." Voidus grinned as he tapped, speeding towards his opponent. 1
Screwloose Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Screwloose watched as Voidus became a blur. "Very kind of you to close to a range I can hit you from." The rifle flashed green, restructuring itself into a pile bunker with a silver spike. He quickly clamped it into place around his right forearm, small spikes inside the clamps embedding into his flesh. As soon as a blur came close enough Screwloose lunged forward, spike first. Epicness 15%
RawToast225 he/him Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 A gust of wind flew out of Dents glasses, pushing Winter, Voidus, and Screwloose off balance. He sucked in just enough stormlight to get himself close enough to Winter to get her out of the fight. If she wasn't going to help, she was going to hinder. He lashed himself toward her, landing lithley two feet away. "You need to go," Dent said holding his hand out to the side. "Now."
RawToast225 he/him Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 "I know what I want. I want to see the DA gone. You seem to want peace more than anything, but what do you do when your peace is threatened by others? Do you defend yourself, or do you roll over? You've said that you'll fight. Now do it." Dent turned, shardblade falling into his hand. He lunged toward Voidus.
Screwloose Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Screwloose stood, having fallen in the gust of wind. "He's right, kind of. In order to truly create something, something else must be destroyed. And if that something is the Dark Alley then even better. If you want to leave then i'll follow but the alley will remain a threat to the pack." He turned to join the man in the dressing gown fighting Voidus.
Guest Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Pain flared in Voidus's attackers as coins ripped through their skin from above. The Panda yelled, "Voidus! Up here!"
Guest Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 The Panda sighed and broke off an antenna from the building, burning Pewter. He aimed it at Winter and Pushed. It flew straight as an arrow, slicing through the air.
Guest Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Voidus isn't even here! The Panda angrily broke off another antenna and Lashed it to Winter 3 times.
Guest Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 The Panda jumped off the skyscraper and waved at Winter as she landed where he once stood.
Guest Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 "Indeed I do." The Panda held out his hand and a hardwood bo staff flipped into it. He quickly unclipped the metal band that he had used to Pull the staff and Pushed it away. He fell into a ready position. "Bring it, sweetie."
Guest Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 (edited) The advantage when your enemy comes at you high and low is this: With one swipe, you can strike both their paws... The Panda recalled the voice of his old guru as he followed his instructions. He swiped in a clockwise direction, knocking the claws out of his face and the dagger out of his side. Ouch. That hurt. He instinctively healed his side. She should have known better than to come so close. With the staff at eye level, he smashed the center of it into her muzzle, knocking her back. "You'll have to do better than that, sweetheart." Edited January 25, 2015 by inexorablePanda
RawToast225 he/him Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 (edited) Okay, look. You established that you had allomancy, but now you all of a sudden have lashings? Nope. Nope. Try again, bro. Dent observed the short battle between Panda and Winter and sighed. He hated when he didn't know what he was up against. Pandas were cheating bastards sometimes. He lashed himself to Panda and landed on him feet first, pushing him to the side away from Winter. As Panda stumbled, Dent swung his shardblade toward Panda's head. RawToast225 he/him Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 I have a bit of a problem with it. Right now, you have two powers: Alchemy and Ferochemy. If you add a shardblade, you might be a little op. Maybe a dead one, so you don't have any surges?
Guest Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 I don't care. I have full Feruchemy and Allomancy, plus I'm apparently a Windrunner, so more power to you with a Shardblade. We also need to have a timeout and find out who's actually attacking me. I don't think it's possible for two people to attack another on one thread. I'll retcon my accidental Lashing and go back to my last bo staff post,(that would make it Winter's go) but I don't want two active people attacking me at once. This is fun!
Screwloose Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 (edited) I'd suggest not getting a shardblade out of thin air though (heh). If you can give a good reason for having one or finding one then i'd agree to it. BTW I have Screwloose has a couple of weapons on him that he can't recreate, they were briefly foreshadowed in my last post in the pack thread before I first posted in this one. Screwloose stood, wincing as he pulled a coin out of his shoulder. Voidus seemed to be down for now, although who knew how much health he still had stored. He took a moment to reach into one of his pouches and bandage the wound. Winter and Arthur appeared to be handling themselves for now. "At least she looks like she's having fun." Guest Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 (edited) Winter growled, frustrated. "Go suck your bamboo." She flared Pewter, regaining her balance. She dashed around the side and stabbed into his back, ducking his next strike. She dropped her daggers and raked her claws up and down his back and sides, quickly Pushing herself away after the battering she delivered. The Panda turned, wincing, and once again, tapped one of his numerous goldminds. He tapped a steelmind and rammed into Screwloose. Grabbing Voidus, he completely filled his ironmind and Pushed up to the top of a skyscraper. There he set Voidus down to heal. He would wait until Voidus woke up. Probably. Voidus Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Voidus hated being stabbed. He particularly hated being stabbed several times then ignored for several minutes while his flesh closed over.Standing up Voidus stretched, cracking his neck before pulling out obsidian daggers of his own."Thanks Panda, one of those cuts severed my spinal cord. Spiking painful to heal that one. Then of course the wolf had to hit my gold spike so I had to use up my store."Reaching down Voidus quickly moved his spikes back into place, wincing at the pain they caused. He burned his gold store, filling his goldmind back up with the resultant surge of Healing.
Guest Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 "Think fast." The Panda tossed Voidus a vial. "That one just has gold in it. Drink up and Compound for a couple minutes. I already did. I'll hold 'em off while you're doing that. Why are they so averse to our experiments, Voidus?"
Cheese United he/him Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Cheese calmy took a bite of his zucchini. 'I sure wish I had some pizza to go with this zucchini' he thought to himself. He was seated jn his lawn chair about 100 meters awa form the fight. 'I should probably help someone. Nah, it's all good' 1
Cheese United he/him Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Cheese chuckled as he saw Voidus stabbed again. 'I sure do love stabbings!' Everyone in the general vicinity could not even. They were so done with Cheese.
Screwloose Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Screwloose stood up again. This was becoming infuriating. He glared up at the building. With a flash of green a gold ingot formed in his hand, several more metal ingots dropping to the ground around him. With another flash the pile bunker on his arm reassembled itself once again, this time into a grappling hook launcher. Reaching into his pouches he clipped a few gravatonic orbs to his belt before firing the grapnel and beginning to climb. To those on the roof those ingots were made from any metals not invested or imbedded in flesh. Including your knives Winter, sorry. Epicness 30%
Voidus Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Voidus frowned as Winter started stabbing him again."Could you stop that?" He asked the wolfkindred. "It's rather painful you know." Voidus pulled a silvery spike out of his pocket. Atium, correctly placed could steal nearly any attribute. He quickly identified the Iron-points in Winters body, relying partially on memory of how her spirit-web had already been altered. He blocked her strikes with his spikes, meeting her eyes with a challenge.
