RawToast225 he/him Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Bavlands - Bavadin. Bavadin is Cultivation. Boom.
Jo and the Bush all/any Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Bavadin is on Taldain the Planet of White Sand. Plus Cultivation is Female.
RawToast225 he/him Posted January 23, 2015 Author Posted January 23, 2015 Yeah, I know. It's still an odd thing to have on common, don't you think?
Redbird he/him Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 There are other coincidences, such as shash being a thing on Roshar and the first letter Siri taught Susebron.
Windrunner he/him Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 It used to be Gavland, but Brandon changed it to avoid confusion with Gavilar. I think this one is a coincidence.
Lord Pifferdoo he/him Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 The whole shash thing could be because the languages developed from the same source: the shards. Like how English and German have very similar words at time because they're both Germanic languages. (at least, the peasant words, but that's a whole 'nuther discussion). That provides an explanation for Vasher knowing Alethi. He could've learned it the vanilla way, though, since he's been on the planet for a about a decade.

He also could have been using magic, like Hoid...
Lord Pifferdoo he/him Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 True, Brandon could go all deus ex magicka on us. 1
Guest Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 True, Brandon could go all deus ex magicka on us.Well, Hoid is actually using interpriMagic, by WoB.And Arthur, sorry for derailing your thread. Please don't call me a meaniface.
RawToast225 he/him Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 True, Brandon could go all deus ex magicka on us. Machine of the Magic? Huh. Well, Hoid is actually using interpriMagic, by WoB. And Arthur, sorry for derailing your thread. Please don't call me a meaniface. You didn't derail it, you added to it. Why would I call you a meaniface?
Guest Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 You didn't derail it, you added to it. Why would I call you a meaniface? I don't know, it's a cool name. I'm going to find another one of your posts and call you a meanieface.
RawToast225 he/him Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 Lol, up vote for that one 1
hoidhunter he/him Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 (edited) You're both meaniefaces...and I totally meant to up vote you both...panda...I'm sorry...I'm doing this on my kindle...and the buttons were really close together...feel free to down vote me back...my bad...that IS actually the first time I have ever cast a down vote. WeiryWriter he/him Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Machine of the Magic? Huh. Actually deus ex magicka would be closer to "God in the magic", since it is the machina in deus ex machina that means machine, deus means god. 3
RawToast225 he/him Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 Yes, thank you! I totally got it wrong.
