Geoffray Posted August 27, 2012 Posted August 27, 2012 Hello Everyone, Salutations from France. I'm a great fan of Sanderson and I've been lurking this forum for quite some time now. So, I've decided to register myself . At the moment, I'm reading Elantris, and want to read all the "Cosmere" novel in the right order. Mistborn trilogy was a huge surprise for me (what a refreshing idea ^^. The bad one wins!) and I've been hooked with BS since then. Is a great man (damnation, I've written him an email, and he answered it. Gosh ^^) I'm also a huge fan of GRR Martin (in France I'm one of the moderator of the official forum ), of Robert Jordan (and I think BS is quite possibly the writer who's the most close of him in "writting") and of Steven Erikson who's (I think) the best of the best (sorry ^^). In waiting for the theories and discussion: A bientôt (Sorry for any misspelling and error, my writing skills in English are very poor ) 3
Joe ST he/him Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Hey there Geoff, great to have you aboard. I saw no errors in your prose, quite excellent in fact I hope you enjoy your stay
Cones For Eyes he/him Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 A Malazan and Dr Who fan, I like you already I've only otten to The Bonehunters in the malazan series but there's so much you have to figure out on your own to do with the magic and gods etc in that series. I think the cosmere is similar for Brandon cause there's clues everywhere but until he releases an overarching Cosmere book, we'll have to figure it out for ourselves!
JustinB he/him Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Great to hear from you Geoff! I too was a lurker for a bit, then recently signed up, trying to be more active in my favorite literary series fan forum.
Geoffray Posted August 28, 2012 Author Posted August 28, 2012 Just the same BLU3. Thx guys. Hoping to jump in the fray of "the Theorie" soon enough .
JamesW he/him Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Nice to meetcha! You have good taste, Doctor Who, Malazan, Sanderson and Jordan are all big +1's in my book. What is your favorite Doctor who episode? How about favorite Malazan Character? Best of luck reading through Sanderson's books, they're amazing! Welcome to our forums!
Geoffray Posted August 28, 2012 Author Posted August 28, 2012 Nice to meetcha! You have good taste, Doctor Who, Malazan, Sanderson and Jordan are all big +1's in my book. Thanks What is your favorite Doctor who episode? How about favorite Malazan Character? Whaouh, tough question ^^. Doctor Who: let's say "Blink" (series 3): weebly wobbly timey wimey stuff . But "A good Man goes to war" (series 6) is close behind. Malazan: There's a huge cast of badass and incredible characters . It's really complicated to choose. Sergeant Helian, Whiskeyjack, and Quick Ben are one of my favorite.
Windrunner he/him Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Hey Geoffray! I'm glad you decided to join us here. I keep an eye on the theory boards, so I hope to see you there soon.
JamesW he/him Posted August 28, 2012 Posted August 28, 2012 Favorite Doctor who episode: The girl in the Fireplace if I absolutely had to pick one. Favorite Malazan Character is much easier though. Tehol Beddict!
Geoffray Posted August 29, 2012 Author Posted August 29, 2012 Favorite Malazan Character is much easier though. Tehol Beddict! Tehol and Bugg are the most freaking hilarious character I've ever read. Yep, favorite too ^^. I really can't choose. For example in Reaper's Gale, Beak is one of the most incredible character ever oO.
Cones For Eyes he/him Posted August 29, 2012 Posted August 29, 2012 Bearing in mind that I've only read up to The Bonehunters, I would say my favourite "character" is Iskaral Pust's Mule
