I tend to lean towards naturalistic explanations (Kaladin getting moody being seasonal affective disorder was something I advocated for), but I don't know in Szeth's case. Either way, I doubt he's quite as insane as many fear he is after being revived. His last PoV came across as quite sane to me, beyond the screams, which might be some sort of PTSD thing.

I think that hearing the screams of the people that you have killed is much more serious of a problem than Kaladin's S.A.D.
