hoidhunter he/him Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 I have to agree with Dent...Arthur Dent...only on the bases that as all shards were at one time combined in Adonalsuim...they are "compatible" (meaning that when Preservation and Ruin combined it produced Harmony...not a cataclysmic explosion)...but you really would have to be careful about blending different intents. I also agree with Moogle when he points out that all of this is just conjecture...we really won't know what is going to happen until Brandon writes it. However, I really like how you guys just agreed to disagree instead of arguing or making snarky remarks. Upvote to both of you for respecting the opinions of your peers... 2
RawToast225 he/him Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Dude. You just made that joke. Also, I appreciate the support and compliment! I'm glad I'm not the only person who sees the gathering of Adolnasium.
hoidhunter he/him Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Just call me Slartibartfast there Dentarthurdent... When considering how this whole huge epic story that is the cosmere is going to wrap up...I can't see any other outcome aside from Adonalsium being reformed. I mean...being that it's a fictional world...I guess literally ANYTHING could happen...but at this point in time...that's my best guess. 1
Fallen Rope he/him Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 I think a prove that cultivation and ruin are similar comes from Vasher. Protect (Cultivate) a flower, destroy (Ruin) the pests that would eat it. 1
RawToast225 he/him Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Yes, exactly my point! You nailed it with one single example.
gjustice99 she/her Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 using the flower, preserve (Preservation) the flower by destroying (Ruin) the pests
RawToast225 he/him Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 That's... What is that supposed to be? I don't really understand the connection you're trying to make there.
gjustice99 she/her Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 (edited) That's... What is that supposed to be? I don't really understand the connection you're trying to make there. how Harmony works and how the two shards could work together Edited January 25, 2015 by gjustice99
RawToast225 he/him Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 (edited) How the fundamental opposites compliment each other instead of clash against one another, yes. I see. So, essentially they allow growth to happen when combined. Edited January 25, 2015 by Arthur Dent

Guest Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 Exactly. I don't really see that, because not much is ruined other than pests.
gjustice99 she/her Posted January 25, 2015 Author Posted January 25, 2015 I don't really see that, because not much is ruined other than pests. the point is that they can work together
Guest Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 the point is that they can work together While I'm sure they could if all 16 were together (Adonalsium), I just don't see it otherwise.
RawToast225 he/him Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 It is Canon that they have and continue to work together under Harmony. Sorry, brosif.
Guest Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 It is Canon that they have and continue to work together under Harmony. Sorry, brosif. Sazed finds it hard to do anything, though, according to WoB which I'm to lazy to find right now.
RawToast225 he/him Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 That is because of his own morality, as far as I understand it.
Guest Posted January 25, 2015 Posted January 25, 2015 ERICTH Could Sazed take down Rayse since he has two shards? BRANDON SANDERSON Rayse is VERY scared of Sazed. However, given Sazed is a composite of two diametrically opposed shards, he finds it very difficult to act. TAGS (source)
