Into the Woods

Who saw Into the Woods? Who loved it as much as I did? Who is on the other side of the opinions, hating it instead of loving it? Who is on the fence?

I haven't seen it yet- but I love fairy tales, and I love fairy tale deconstructions, so it's going to be the first film I see in the New Year.

 

(I also hear it's based on a musical? I haven't seen it either, but how does the film compare to the source material?)

I was in the musical twice. The cut out my part when they did the movie, but they really did a fantastic job!

I do want to see this eventually.  My high school put the musical on years ago, and I was in the pit band for it (clarinet).  I don't remember it really well, but I do remember really liking it.  If it's as good as you say, woo hoo!

What the hell was Adolin Kholin doing in Into The Woods?!

Anyways... I played the Narrator in a production of Into the Woods once. In the original musical production, the characters blamed the narrator for everything, and threw him to the Giantess. Unfortunately, my group only did Act 1, so I didn't get to be pitched headfirst through the fourth wall.

Lol, I played The narrator once! I also played the Mysterious Man in a different production.
