On the bright side, the little girl who survived will probably grow up to be a hardcore Action Girl who joins the Reckoners, and will possibly kill Timeport. So we've got that to look forward to.

That is a surprisingly awesome bright side. Hmmm. If Remington is going to be passing through that area, any objections to having him pick her up? Not sure where he'd take her, unless she has relatives in the city, but he could definitely plant the Action Girl idea in her mind.

Also, mail-mi, Timeport can't take anyone along unless Upgrade is there, correct?

The only logistical issue I see is that it'll be some time before Remington gets back from Attica. So either the girl will need to spend the night dashing from hiding place to hiding place (plausible) or make it all the way to the cemetery in time to catch them on their way out (not really plausible).
