I just thought of something. Can Mistings/Mistborn only push/pull on metals that are allomantically sound? I know in one case an allomantic metal can't be pushed or pulled (Aluminum) and it is also mentioned that Silver can't be pushed/pulled either. I wouldn't think that you would only be able to use only allomantic metals for steelpushing/ironpulling but as this is not directly addressed in the books I have no way of knowing. The coins that are often used to push off of the ground are copper which is an allomantically sound metal, so it doesn't help me. I'm just really wondering if this is a thing. If so, then it would seriously hinder coinshots/lurchers.

I think that most metals can be pushed/pulled but i believe that AoTL mentions that there are some metals that are alomaticaly inert we know that Aluminum is one but we know nothing about any others.

in HOA when Vin is being held hostage by Yomen. "Sliver. Useless, unburnable silver. Like lead, it was one of the metals that provided no Allomantic powers at all." Hero of Ages pg. 486.

I must admit, I'm a little confused by your last post.  It is not implied that silver cannot be burned, it is outright stated in the quote you provided.  Did you perhaps mean to say it was implied it could not be Pushed or Pulled?  If so I would disagree.

It is implied that she cannot push or pull it because she calls it useless. Though, I do admit, you may be right and it may just be that she means useless to her at that moment in time, as she has no iron or steel to push or pull it with to free herself.

I would say that it is useless because she can't burn it.  Whether or not she can Push or Pull on it is irrelevant because as you say she has no iron or steel.

In fact it is implied that silver can be Pushed and Pulled, it is explained in the first book that instead of wearing metal jewelry Nobles wear painted wood.  If silver was immune then they would be making jewelry out of it and not wood.

It's a common misconception that Silver can't be pushed on, it was even mentioned in someones write up of a suvudu cage-match once. It's been called allomantically inert but that was just to say that it provides no allomantic power. Aluminium is the only metal which can't be pushed or pulled on, if you're looking for evidence of this I'd suggest two things:
1- Inquisitors vision, Inquisitors can see by detecting the minute traces of metal that are within everything, if this only worked wiith pure allomantic metals they'd be virtually blind.
2- The Vanishers: Perhaps a more compelling reason, the Vanishers would not bother to outfit themselves with aluminium weapons at great expense if they could simply use any non-allomantic metal.

maybe emphasizing it this way will help:

"Sliver. Useless, unburnable silver. Like lead, it was one of the metals that provided no Allomantic powers at all."

So I take that to mean you cannot burn silver. Since you can't burn it, like you can't burn lead, you gain no powers from it, as in you do not enhance your senses like tin, you do not enhance your endurance like pewter, etc. Has nothing to do with whether or not you can steel push or iron pull on something made of silver.

Chapter 5 of The Final Empire, Kelsier kills a lot of hazekillers with a paperweight which is referred to as "silvery". Frustratingly, he never flat-out calls it silver.

Well he didn't have Renette or an inquisitors ability to identify metal by iron lines.
