Ironwill2112 he/him Posted June 15 Posted June 15 I really liked it! I thought it was utterly hilarious and clever. I think I read somewhere that the Sorceress is a member of the Ire? I know she is Elantian too of course but that's just cool to think about. Also How can Hoid access the Dore? If he became Elantrian I assume he's just altering his appearance like he does in Stormlight, to hide his Elantrian glow. Anyway I really enjoyed the book! How did you like it?
Returned he/him Posted June 15 Posted June 15 I liked it, though it wasn't my favorite Cosmere novella. It was focused and pretty tightly written. it reminded me a lot of fairy tales, which I think was what Sanderson was going for. I really liked the idea of the spore seas and thought they were used well. If it had been longer I would have wanted more depth and a more complex plot, but for the length it had I thought it worked well. I did not like Hoid's narration, though I did get more used to it I never really warmed up to it. It sounds like it landed for you, which must have really enhanced the read!
Nitpicking Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Who says Hoid is using the Dor? He has all that Investiture from the Dawnshard.
