Verdance says something to himself, and Regression stops where he is, sighs like a grumpy teenager, and disappears, reforming as a Shardpike in his hands, slightly desaturated and with an ornate crossbar. “Sorry for all the confusion,” Verdant Radiance says. “Duel? Lightweaver vs. Lightweaver?”

Coder solidifies the lightweaving by Truthbonding it to reality. As long as you sustain it, it will be, in all intensive purposes, real.

Verdant Radiance summons a set of Shardplate that more or less hugs the body with a slightly higher density, advantages being a smaller target and higher agility but being several hits less durable and providing less offensive strength. He waits for an officiate to initiate the duel.

Coder lunges forward, striking the plate in the center of the chest. He quickly lunges away, creating 4 lightweavings of himself going seperate directions, soulcasting some of the air to make them just realistic enough that you wouldn't be able to tell which is which.

Verdant parries the strike, deflecting it into the ground. He preserves his stormlight for the moment, striking out at one of the illusions while keeping the other four in front of him.

All the illusions dissipate, while the real Coder strikes out from behind you, right in the middle of your back.

“I’m a spren, but I guess a pen. No one would know it was a weapon, but if your pull it on someone, you can really make them hurt.”

Spren warning Verdant slightly too late, he twists, not quite avoiding the blow, but the awkward angle reduces damage to the Plate a little. The force knocks him off balance, but he quickly recovers, sweeping out at Coder, breathing hard. “Excellent lightweaving,” he mentions. “How do you focus on making the front of you look like the landscape behind you?” He presses his hand to the ground. Whilst he is limited to only Lightweaver surges, he is also an Elsecaller, and his surge of Transformation is nothing less than honed to a fine point. The stone beneath them in a radius of thirty meters and a depth of a half meter suddenly turns to smoke. His stormlight efficiency is high, but the cost is still significant. Regardless, Coder’s feet trace wakes in the smoke, and the invisibility is negated, as are the illusions.

Coder starts creating light weavings of himself, spread across the battlefield. They are solid enough to move the smoke just like the real coder can, and light weavings of the smoke twisting around so even if none of the coders were real, you wouldn’t be able to find the invisible one.

”Thanks for letting me save in stormlight efficiency with the cover!” All of the Coders said in unison.

Then, they all, in unison, attacked.

And storm me if he didn’t fight himself over every word spoken.” He quickly spends more stormlight, filling the air around him with a mist of oil, then setting it ablaze with several chips’ worth of lightweaving condensed into a single point. A momentary flash of light disrupts the illusions for a moment, while he considers the fact that the question means more to him than Coder. “I make promises to myself I never intend to keep, and submerge good intentions beneath a weak determination and shallow selfishness,” he says, his fifth Lightweaver truth. Somehow, interactions between his standard lightweaver order and his advanced worldshifter order grant him a small boost of Stormlight. He takes the opportunity to strike at the only stable body nearby- Coder’s.

“Hey! I’m a very complex person! Each one was life changing in its own way!” Coder yells as the world turns to blaze.

As you lunge forward to strike, I manifest my blade as a spear, right as you are striking, cracking your plate.

I then jump back, solid light weaving hundreds of tiny little blades soaring towards the broken plate section.
