If this is a modern day setting, I would probably lean to towards Medea since she is further ranging than Circe, who is strongly associated with Aeaea. This also makes @IcedOutPenguin my character's grandfather or maybe great uncle?

So, how does magic work? Medea's deeds are kind of all over the place and she does not have a kind of divine portfolio like a god.

I’m probably going to do someone else tied to a location, so for the circumstances if it’s modern we’ll ignore stuff like that as best we can
