Bones He/Him Posted February 10 Posted February 10 I found this site because I wanted questions answered about some Stormlight Archive code. I am especially most curious about the code in WoR pg. 481. I want to know what a cookie is, when related to total reputation. If I am doing something wrong, please let me know. 1
Oranjejuicemonki He/Him Posted February 10 Posted February 10 Welcome! This is a cookie Meanwhile, this is a hemalurgically spiked cookie: Reputation is like when you press the heart button thingy on someone elses thing they get reputation and it gives you a rank. You're a skaa right now which means you have 2-4 reputation. Here's the list of ranks and how much reputation they are. Also, what's your favorite cosmere character so far? 2

If I am correct in guessing what the code you are mentioning is, I do know how to read it. However, I do not have access to any of the books currently. Getting them would require a trip to the library. If you could choose one Cosmere planet to spend a day on, which one would it be?

The one with the colors is crazy. I assume you mean Warbreaker? Have you read Mistborn Era 2?

You talking about the part when Shallan and Pattern are reading Tyn’s communications? And the code Tyn was using?

I am confused on how it works. Okay so from my understanding, the code is a way that Tyn was able to verify her identity to those she was speaking with. The code is that the person Tyn (or in this case, Shallan) is talking to initiates the code by starting the first three words with one of three letters from a certain quintet of letters (no, we do not know what those letters are) and then Tyn/Shallan completes it by starting her first two words with the other two letters from the quintet. Potentially the letters are I, T, S, B, Y, but since it’s technically being written in a different language (Vorin women’s script) it’s probably something different, those are just the letters the words start with in English. We as the readers do not know what exactly the code is, only how it works. However, the code could be used in real life by designating which five letters (or potentially combination of letters) be used for it and then starting texts with that or something, which would be really fun honestly.

Thank you nice gentlemen. T, Y, N Indubitably said kind sir. I, S A bountiful inclusion to give thanks. A, B, I Great creative remark you have. G, C Right, even though I'm not being creative. R, E, T I notice things, you are being creative. I, N TYNISABIGCRETIN Edited February 12 by Bones
