Could the stormlight suppression fabrial work on alloymancy or other invested magic systems? Like if you used the dor and filled it that way could it stop dor based magic?

Suppression fabrials could theoretically disrupt magic systems like Allomancy or the Dor because they operate on the principle of disrupting Investiture waveforms through interference. To suppress a different system, the device would need to be specifically tuned to the "rhythms" or frequencies of the target Shard; for instance, a fabrial powered by the Dor would likely require a cage of tin (a diminisher metal) and a spren or entity that can resonate with the frequencies of Devotion and Dominion. While Rosharan fabrials are usually fueled by Stormlight, substituting it with another form of raw Investiture as a "battery" is theoretically possible, though converting one type to another is practically difficult and might only suppress Investiture tied to that specific source. Ultimately, a fabrial's effectiveness depends on the Investiture density of the target, meaning highly invested individuals, like those of the Fourth Ideal, might still resist the suppression field regardless of its fuel source.

This sounds like it could be correct, but I don't recall the mechanics of the Suppressor Fabrials ever being mentioned.

Well, this is a inference from some of the confirmed Cosmere physics but there is a lot of guesswork in there.

I do a lot of guesswork and form hypotheses myself, but your wording feels extremely certain and doesn't show that it's a hypothesis, at least to my viewing.

Personally, I think it would be best to indicate that so that people like the OP don't get confused and close their mind to new ideas on the subject, particularly when we get Canon material.

I do agree with most of your points however. A suppression Fabrial could almost certainly be made to work on any Investiture- it would simply need to be built right, and using a Spren comprised of the Investiture of the Shard who's magic you're trying to suppress would make a lot of sense.
