Trusk'our he/him Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I'm sure this isn't a new idea, and there are probably reasons I'm not aware of as to why it couldn't work, but necro posting seems to be a relatively frequent occurrence to new members who don't know what they're doing yet. Would a possible solution to this be to have the system automatically lock threads after they've been inactive for an extended period of time, like after three to six months? People could still link and/or reference those threads if they wanted to continue talking about them, but they would not be capable of actually necroing them on accident. Again, I'm not well versed in the code of the 17th Shard and have no idea how to run things, so if this is a bad idea please disregard it entirely.

Actually, I think it can depend, like I think OPs or participants can revive old RPs but not new ppl. Also there are different threads/types of threads that can/can't be revived... also you misspelled "Necro" in the topic title.

Chaos he/him Posted February 4 Posted February 4 Being able to automatically lock topics after a period of time would indeed be really nice. I haven't found a setting to do that. 9
