Designated marksmen with all aluminum rifles seems like the obvious thing here. Gonna have to give them a lot of training on shooting targets that are more evasive than the median bird, but the basic setup of the marksman with aluminum is would probably be part of every platoon sized element to counter the prospect of encountering an iron or steel allomancer who would spoil everyone else's fire.

Having them be 1 to a platoon (20-50 guys) would seem excessive, but if primer cubes are not that uncommon in the south than having specialists to counter them would make sense at a small unit level.

Also, apparently primer cubes charged by an aluminum gnat create no-magic zones in how Mr Sanderson had things figured in 2021. I know there are no metalborn to spare for combat, but seeing as an aluminum gnat isn't actually that useful on the front lines without a cube, maybe they should be deployed to the rear just to charge up the anti-magic field generators.

Honestly. I dont know that a mistborn has a truly effective range outside of 50 yards or so without using rifles as well. If it is mistborn with their powers only vs a squad then 00 buckshot would launch a decent spread of 8-9 aluminum ball bearings each roughly the size of a 9mm round. There is a good reason my 12 gauge loaded with buckshot and slugs is my favorite firearm. So much fun and that buckshot is beyond devastating. If a mistborn were within 50 yards that would be my go to against them. Not saying it would be the perfect answer but if right now I had to go on mistborn defense that is what I would grab.

Let's be honest, here. Absent plot armor, 20 crossbowmen with all-wood-and-bone weapons, including wood-with-bone-tip quarrels, would be devastating to a single Mistborn (without atium). Hell, the sling of David could be devastating.

Depends on where they are.

I'm assuming these are Era 1 Hazekillers, so it's most likely they're in a city- probably at some keep the Mistborn is sneaking into.

If the Mistborn can detect them with their tin first, they can just Steelpush into the night, or attack with a spray of coins from the shadows. It would require a great deal of coordination and skill to pin them down.
