Melon Dingo Posted January 5 Posted January 5 9 hours ago, Saffron Iguana said: Johnson glared at the dog hairs stuck to his uniform, and then glared again at the corridor he'd just walked down. Last, he turned and glared at Stormseeker. "Well, I propose we throw the canine out. Just look at this mess. Dog hair spreads like the plague, except it just keeps accumulating everywhere." Johnson rummaged in his pack for a second before revealing a vial of clear liquid. "Fortunately for everyone I have some solvent here. Liquifies just about anything organic." Johnson unsealed the vial, which gave off a distinctly caustic odor, then deftly pulled a dropper from a pocket and deposited some of the liquid onto the hair on his uniform. True to his word, the hairs vanished, though to most of the onlookers surprise, the uniform itself was undamaged. Johnson noticed some of the odd looks he was getting, glanced down at the drop on his clothes, and smiled. "Ah, yes. My uniform is special issue, meeting all Personal Protective Equipment standards for the Scadrian Fleet, the Scadrian Chemical Society, and the Scadrian Academy of Nuclear Engineering. It's good against anything but blunt force trauma." "Now, if you'll excuse me. I doubt you all want piranha fluid spread throughout the corridor, so I'll grab a vacuum to consolidate this mess and dispose of it in a more orderly manner." "Oh, and Isabel? (Sage Kangaroo) I saw you throwing chouta in the hallway. That's the messiest thing I've seen today, aside from the dog, so if we have to exile a crewmember, my vote is on you." Oxblood Beagle Posted January 5 Posted January 5 Levin tried to catch up with Violet Axolotl, but he was a little too late and the man had already retired to his quarters. The Axolotl's real name was Fletcher, but Levin had always been bad at remembering names. He found it easier to ascribe the identities of the passengers with the animals they reminded him of and so, that was what was he was most likely to do going forward. Since he wasn't able to gather information together with Axolotl, Levin decided to do his own investigation on the matter. He approached the crew of the ship and asked them of the discussion that had transpired while he was asleep. While the crew was busy explaining, he also casually swiped a register of the passengers aboard the SS TYRIAN to have a clearer picture of who could be involved. He guessed that perhaps there were 4 or 5 saboteurs involved in this ploy. The crew were busy with ensuring that the ship was functioning well, so he was a little uncertain if the information that he gathered was accurate, but he tried to summarize the events that had occurred thus far. The initial stir caused a lot of panic among the passengers and so, plenty of random accusations or requests to speak up were thrown around. Among those who sustained this accusation were the Gecko, Toucan, Weasel, Iguana, Axolotl, Albatross, Heron and himself, the Beagle. Some had made more pointed accusations like the Dragonfly, who believed one of the Octopus' statement to be suspicious. Dragonfly had started out with a random accusation and the sudden switch to a more pointed one drew the suspicion of the Octopus, and Kangaroo. Of the two, it seemed like the Octopus had explained their thought process well, though Levin did not necessarily agree with it. Meanwhile, Kangaroo shared some suspicion on Dragonfly with Octopus, but only fully accused them after Octopus had done so. Due to this, Meerkat became suspicious of the Kangaroo. Later on, some of Meerkat's actions caused some of the passengers to question his motives. The Crocodile demanded an explanation from them because he thought the Meerkat was responsible for instigating the accusations on the Dragonfly. On the other hand, the Elephant found the Meerkat to be too willing to change their tune. There was also the Zebra, who found the Crocodile distrustful. It was difficult for Levin to figure out whether this accusation was serious and if it was, the reasoning behind it. There was also the Dingo who chimed in with their suspicion on the Axolotl for both being eager to jump on early in accusing others of being saboteurs and seemingly being confused of what was going on in the ship despite being an active participant. Finally, there was the Flamingo, who seemed lost in the conversation and hadn't participated in either accusing or defending anyone. Levin noted that there were yet others who had not joined the conversation. Perhaps they were still in their cabins? These passengers were the Rhinoceros, Lion, and Chameleon. There was a lot that Levin had learned from the accounts of the crew. His initial thoughts were that he had a little trust towards the passengers who seemed to be genuinely trying to contribute to find the saboteurs, which were the Crocodile, Heron, and Dingo. He also felt like the Dragonfly and Octopus were innocent. On the other hand, he felt a little suspicion towards a few passengers like the Kangaroo, Axolotl, and Elephant. To Levin, it felt like Kangaroo's accusation was a bit opportunistic and he wanted to hear more of the Kangaroo's voice in their reasoning. He agreed with the Dingo that the Axolotl was a little suspicious for being an active participant in the conversations, yet they acted like they were lost. Finally, he was confused with the Elephant's position. He had mentioned that he thought the Dragonfly was innocent and was merely trying to help. The Dragonfly had been accused for a sudden change in accusations and yet, he had been eager to find suspicion on the Meerkat for a similar reason. As such, Levin wanted to clarify this matter with the Sapphire Elephant.

I will provide a More Thorough Estimation of the Crew at Some Later Hour, but From whence I last spoke, Beagle Fingered Axolotl for their Thoughts but Gave Up Quickly. Heron Called Up Dingo for a Reason Not Stated. And Dingo is also Voting on Axolotl, but with Cause of Being Active but also Not Contributing/asking to be Caught Up. Beagle, I must Commend for Providing a Rather Thorough and Skimmable Summation. They are now Voting on Elephant for Inconsistency in Reasoning. Heron Changes the Direction of their Gaze to Axolotl, which Beagle just abandoned. Thus Dragonfly goes from Most Suspected to the Meerkat and the Kangaroo tied. This is not an Unpleasant State of Affairs, as they seem Rather Disloyal to their Votes. Adolnasium Storming Reborn will need More Time to Consider this. While you Wait, Consider Presenting Adolnasium Storming Reborn with your Theological Questions and Concerns. I Will Guide you All. No, no, Stow your Gratitudes and Sacrifices! This is a Service I Grant Freely as God of the Cosmere.

Violet Axolotl Posted January 5 Posted January 5 14 hours ago, Oxblood Beagle said: After Levin exited his room, he found several other passengers discussing in small groups in different corners of the ship. There were murmurs of saboteurs who had more malicious motives and had premeditated the events that they were facing now. Some passengers seemed to be eager to point fingers already and he tried to figure out which accusations were serious and which were not, but it seemed a difficult endeavor to do so. It reminded him of a particular memory of arriving at a play midway and struggling to comprehend what was going on. It would be delightful if someone could help illuminate their opinions on the matters that had previously been discussed. Levin wanted to find a companion in their plight of being lost in the ongoing discourse. There was a merchant trying to sell wares and an arrogant man being frustrated with being misunderstood, but he decided to catch up with the man who was walking back to his room. He seemed equally a little overwhelmed with what was going on. "Violet Axolotl, could I ask for your thoughts on what's occurred on this ship thus far?" he kindly asked. Perhaps together they could hope to understand things and perhaps be a step closer to finding the elusive saboteurs. Fletcher comes back out of his room, feeling much more rested than before. Spoiler Sorry guys, I've been so busy lately And it's hard to tell analysis apart from rp sometimes Fletcher runs to catch up to the man who attempted to talk to him earlier. "Hello, you wanted to know my opinion on things?" "I voted sage kangaroo to poke, mainly, but also because I seemed to have met them long, long ago, and I suspect their real identity. I wanted to know how they would react." To those who have voted me, the reason why I've been spotty here is mainly because I got excited when it started, and then fell off a little as everyone started participating. I find it difficult to read through lots of posts and pick out vital data. I'm gonna stick with my vote for now, until/if I get a good reason not to.

Warm Us, and Act almost as a... Farewell for our Departed Captain. Well. At least that was one passenger who appreciated his talent and his genius, even if most of this rust-bucket of a ship was swarming with uncultured barbarians. Zense's fingers stilled as he brought the most recent song to a premature close and considered the passenger's request. A simple Threnodite dirge. He rolled his eyes, just a little, at the requirement it be 'simple.' Of course, it always had to be simple. Easier if he had pipes; the proper Threnodite dirges always used the pipes, but he only had the baliset with him right now. There was one, though. He struck the rhythm on the baliset, weaving the threads of the melody together deftly. A song of a journey, of a time when the humans fled the Homeland on ships that moved on the water, rather than in the skies or in space. Day is ended, dim my eyes, but journey long before me lies. Appropriate, perhaps, because once upon a time, the captain would have been a seafarer and was now a spacefarer, though the evil lay not behind them, but before them. If you dug deep enough in Threnody, you found a vein of sea-longing, perhaps because they had been too afraid to write songs about the Fallen World. Farewell, friends! I hear the call. The ship's beside the stony wall. A simple melody, though Zense could not help himself; he added a slight complexity to the tune. A little flourish, a little improvisation. Not something any of the passengers would appreciate, of course. But such was the burden of Art (TM.) Foam is white and waves are grey; beyond the sunset leads my way. Foam is salt, the wind is free; I hear the rising of the sea. 1
Taupe Gecko Posted January 5 Posted January 5 When H.E.A.R.T.H had finally recovered enough to make its way to the mess hall, it was greeted by a scene of chaos. The crew - nearly complete, it seemed - were engaged in a frenzy of talk and debate, accusations flying. H.E.A.R.T.H had clearly missed a lot. While the announcements continued to nag at it, it's head was clearer now with the dreadful visions of violence in the past, and though this havoc too pounded at its barriers, it forced itself to evaluate calmly. There were traitors among this vessel. There was no other explanation; the crew of the TYRIAN had been compromised. H.E.A.R.T.H's programmed instincts itched to dive into analysis, but it was in no position to do that. Not today. Too much had transpired to evaluate, and with this little evidence, most was likely meaningless. It could, however, take some steps. To begin with, H.E.A.R.T.H retracted its accusation towards Mauve Crocodile. That had been made under different circumstances, and there was no time anymore for meaningless votes. H.E.A.R.T.H had to charge overnight, and that meant missing crucial events. (OOC - I might sleep through rollover. Having it in the late morning is really funky). So it had to capitalize on what was before it now. Trying to be heard over the clamor, H.E.A.R.T.H approached anyone who didn't seem too insane and began to request summaries of the day's events - and suspicions. (OOC - a summary of the main trains and accusations going on right now would be utterly magnificent, as I am not reading through five pages of this madness, most of which is probably RP). As it awaited answers, however, it switched to another priority. As per H.E.A.R.T.H's calculations, an accusation, anywhere, applied pressure. Pressure forced reaction. Reaction fed analysis. And so H.E.A.R.T.H was set on making an accusation, and as it pondered its possibilities, a voice rose above the clammer. 1 hour ago, Ivory Dragonfly said: Quoting is very difficult Theological question I must commend for providing But The Cosmere An unpleasant state of affairs Warm us Cut through the darkness If you please No, no Scarlet Octopus Sunburst Toucan Consider presenting Calm. Sapphire Elephant Posted January 5 Posted January 5 8 hours ago, Oxblood Beagle said: Levin tried to catch up with Violet Axolotl, but he was a little too late and the man had already retired to his quarters. The difference is that I felt like Meerkat was doing it in a way that tried not to draw too much attention, but Dragonfly wasn't doing that. 8 hours ago, Mint Heron said: where do u got ur eyes on in this case?
