Kansas focuses his attention forward, and at the last second with some combination of his abilities manages to Soulcast a wall of Stone in front of him, which he Lashes forward to give it some resisstance.

Kyo hit something that seemed to crack and shatter in front of him. He immediately started lashing himself back in increments to slow down, until he felt he could open his eyes again. He looked back and realized that he was still moving far too fast and had over shot Kansas by a lot. [500 damn miles.] He couldn't even see the city [?] that the bar was in.

Skye laughed at him.
